I don't know if that's true though. How much bigger is Fasano to Keller? Fasano weight 255 and Keller weighs 250.

I wouldn't trade him, his blocking isn't the best (or even average) but he seems to have good chemistry with Sanchez and gets lots of catches. Only way getting rid of Keller makes sense is if we're getting better at the WR position so Sanchez has someone to throw to and if the replacement TE we get is more of a hybrid guy with a lot better blocking ability.

The difference is that Fasano is a good run blocker. Keller sucks at blocking.

Keller struggles on so many simple things.

    Do you even watch football?

Gronkowski set all-time TD (17) and receiving yard (1,327) records this year, all on 90 receptions.

Gonzalez is nothing more than a has-been.

Would the new blocking schemes help Keller blocking? Also, could he be taught how to block by the coaches. I think we should find a way to make him fit because he has been productive and Mark always finds him in the Red Zone.

The G in Gonzalez stands for Gronkowski.

I don't honestly think he's improved all that much as a receiver. In fact, I'm almost positive he led the team in drops this year, but alas I can't find the stat. Granted it wasn't always his fault because Mark had to rush the ball out many many times and they were tough catches. I'd totally be about giving him another year, but it's true that his blocking still needs improvement. Some games Keller seems unstoppable receiving, but in others he looks terrible. He still hasn't gotten over the streaky hump and leveled out to be more consistent. Trading Keller might not be a bad idea if we are going to be a run heavy team again this coming year. He's definitely still got value, although I like having the option of throwing to him off the play action fakes. Mark and Keller did this pretty well last season and they do have chemistry, so we should hang on to him.

    A) The Pats would never trade a player to the Jets. Even a Special Teams player.

    B) Tony Gonzalez stopped being the best TE in football more than a few years ago.

    C) Gronkowski is a beast. Right now. Any argument to the contrary just shows that you have something to learn about football.

he is listed as 6'2". He might be too small to play that position effectively. The trend of TE position is for someone who is bigger and faster.

Someone said the Jets would need two new TE's if Keller goes, but Cumberland presumably will be back from IR, so he takes Mulligan's place and Keller gets replaced by somone new. I am expecting Baker will be back. He showed improvement as the year went on.

Gonzalez is actually 6'5. It stinks that he resigned with the Chiefs. Him and Keller would be an epic one two punch.

I'd like to see Keller brought back as TE/WR hybrid, Baker stick as H-back, and draft a meathead who can block and catch well in the early rounds. Keller is a decent player but there is no real compliment to him in the TE squad. When there's a 2 TE set, with a blocker on the other end, team already know where the pass is going to go. He's the odds on favorite to release.

Likewise when he is not on the field in favor of a blocking TE, they know he's either staying in to block or it's going to be a running play.

You guys are delirious if you think Gonzalez (35) and Shockey (31) would be good fits. They are old, slow, and 1 minor injury away from retirement.

UNLESS they bring back the other player(Braylon) that Sanchez was comfortable with, I say "I'm not okay with this" if they actually choose to do this.

If Tony Gonzalez was in his prime he'd be the best TE in football. He's about 35 and still pretty damn productive but his best years are way behind him.
