I doubt it was Hunter, he was the guy in the huddle arguing with Holmes. I don't anybody on the OL would do it. Moore fired at the WR's earlier in the season, Mangold obviously isn't the guy. Brick was the guy who Mark took to meet Obama. I just couldn't see it being Slausen, it has to be either the RB's or WR's and I think we could exclude Keller and LT which would leave Greene, Holmes, Burress or Kerley. I think we could cross Kerley off the list and Plax seems to be somewhat humbled since his incarceration.
I think one of these guys was a FO type guy. Somebody with a position they don't really cherish too much, maybe a Time Management position like Dick Curl of years past. I also think one of the players is Holmes. I don't have a hard time believing, if there are two players, that one of them is Slauson. He seemed to relish in his opportunities to squawk to the press a little too much this year, even announcing to the Patriots that we were going back to ground and pound.
Mangold is what a football player should be. I hope some of the knuckleheads on the team see that this guy is the real deal and follow his lead. I wear his Jersey PROUD!!!!!!!!
Good on him. We need some unity in the dressing room if we're going to survive next year. Try to weed out the guys causing problems and keep the guys like Mangold who try to bring the team together.
Bah, the article was probably a load of crap anyways. Mangold is doing the right thing. Sanchez will finally get a chance to prove himself this year, provided we fix the oline. Hopefully Mark will follow the trend of most other QBs to part ways with Schotty and excel. If they get rid of Mark I will be pretty angry.
I agree Barcs... This should be the year for him to prove himself. Hopefully some new blood will get the O line and QB play wear it needs to be....
I applaud Mangold for this. Great to see some type of leadership out of the players, even if its only on twitter and 2 weeks after the Jets season ended
I was just saying that this morning. I will be furious because if he doesn't play next year, his career is over by no... ok little... fault of his own.
I'm sure Sanchez got some buddies on his team that will support him no matter what. The fact is, Sanchez play is horrific - regardless of what his teammates say about him on or off the field. I would actually hate to think that Sanchez actually practices so hard and still suck like this... at least if it is true he is lazy, there might be room for real improvement... perhaps he is better off with the story he is lazy and he can do it when he works harder.
