Good. It is beyond dispute it is all out now. Now it has to be dealt with. Even if there is any merit to the notion that all this should have been kept behind closed doors, it is past that point. And again, even if one believes that point, it should be obvious that the main person responsible for it NOT being kept there is Ryan. And it should also be obvious no matter what you think on that behind doors thing that this team has a huge discipline problem. Having said that, I am not as relatively upset as others about this being out in the open. It is probably a good thing. But that it is out in the open is beyond question, and must be dealt with, going forward.
@NickMangold This nydn.us/xnShGZ by @TheJetsStream is false. If "unnamed sources" want to attack Mark, man up and put your name to it #JETS His Center sure as hell has his back
I know where posters who say Keller sucks are coming from. Although I wouldn't go as far as saying he sucks, but he is certainly not as good as the Jets' fan base we would want you to believe. He's probably very high on the list of drop passes by a TE since he's entered the league. It's too bad Cumberland got hurt as I thought he was ready to have the kind of year that would have made Keller expendable this offseason. I still wouldn't mind trading him as he has probably has some value out there. I'd love to trade him and go after Fred Davis, the TE we should have drafted in 08.
When they went to Rex and Tanny, did they also offer to take pay cuts and alleviate the cap hit, talk about the draft picks for the next several years, and offer to do whatever else they can do to make this possible?
I think there's still hope for Ducasse. The guy is a beast at run blocking and he has attributes that should make him a pretty good pass blocker. He just needs to put it all together. I'm hoping next year with a full offseason that happens. I remember Brandon Moore was pretty horrific his first few years too.
Except of course for all the passes that dinged off his shoulder pads and/or helmet that he didn't even seem to be expecting.
@evansilva Ex #Jets T Damien Woody on Mark Sanchez: "U need (coaches) that are gonna be tough on him...bc he tends to get babied at the Jets facility." at least part of the article is true...
I don't know how long you've followed this team, but as soon as the Holmes shit happened in the last game and the Jets had a press conference for no reason at all, this was on the way down. The cycle begins anew. If Rex can fix this he's a hall of famer instantly in my eyes. The much more likely scenario is that he's already lost the team, and since he essentially gets a free pass for his first two years we'll suffer through 2-3 more years before they put him out of his misery and starting fresh again.
Sanchez is more concerned about how many hot women he picks up then the QB position, he is a bumm and I will stand by this statement, I want him gone and I dont' want to see his ugly face anymore. He is one of hte worst QB's in the entire league.
Why? Because ESPN is to real sports journalism what People Magazine is to real news magazines. It's all about sensationalism, and they never let the facts get in the way of a good story.
So basically you're hating hte players for not having the guts to identify themselves for telling the truth. Fair enough, but that doesn't mean it isn't true.
wouldn't surprise me if it is false. This is what, the 20th article in a week saying that X,Y,and Z talking about a teammate? The media loves to over exaggerate when it comes to the Jets under Rex Ryan so until someone mans up and saids they said X, I wont believe these redundant articles that keep popping up.
Whether it's false or not means absolutely nothing - the meltdown with Holmes was true, the McElroy interview actually happened - so whether or not this is just more fuel on the fire isn't the point. The fact of the matter is the team is divided, players are sniping at each other, and Rex needs to get control of his locker room immediately. Not tomorrow, not next week, not in time for training camp - NOW.
Remember Manish also 'broke' the story about 3 receivers complaining about Schotty that turned out not to be true either.
You don't think there's even the possibility that Mangold is lying just to try and restore order and do his best to keep that stuff in the family?
Hey, we're both big fans, and that's all that matters. But you seem to want to believe that the media is like the USSR from the Cold War and only prints propaganda, and then you're fully satisfied and almost relieved when players say "it's not true". The word "retraction" was invented for people who say things they shouldn't and then change their minds. There's no way that stuff didn't happen. It probably didn't happen anything like it was portrayed in the press, but SOMETHING happened. Just because you have symptoms of cancer and it turns out not to actually be cancer doesn't mean you're healthy.
