Brian is the scapegoat, the fans rejoice. How soon before the pitchforks are out for Sparano? I hate being a fan of this team sometimes.

maybe the best 6 year run in our history, 3 playoff apps and 2 title games despite constant change on the offense including 4 QBs. Never have we had as many as 4 playoff wins in a 6 year span before.

You're an alien, man. Look, junc, change was needed. If you can't see that...

Wait, I forgot who I was talking to.

    Then stop being a fan.

This situation is not unique to the NYJ and their fans. Every fan base in the NFL becomes disenfranchised with their coaching staff. While the fault is definitely not solely Schotty's, he is, however, going to take the brunt of the blame. He had 6 years to prove his worth and the fan base has every right to be dissatisfied with his body of work.

you do understand if we are in the same situation next year the results won't change, right? if we have 3 new WRs, starting WRs that can't seperate, a poor OL, a poor run game for half the year and a QB that is struggling then we'll have the same results. This year was NOT about the OC, he was the scapegoat.

typical fans always need a scapegoat, Brian was the scapegoat. Watch how fast the new OC is bashed. we didn't go 8-8 b/c of the OC, the DC was worse considering he had more talent.

If Sparano calls shotgun on 3rd and goal with the ball on 1 yard line, I will personally bring out the pitchforks.

(In other words, THAT IS NOT HAPPENING, JUNC.)

p.s. If these stupidities are execution problems for you, I have nothing more to say.

I think change was needed. Scapegoat? maybe but it was pretty obvious that Sanchez had stagnated a little this year. They had 3 years together, Sanchez needed a new voice.

I think I'm gonna become a sports insider. Apparently all you have to do is repost other people's reports.

    Some people are never happy.

You wanted Shotty gone and now you bitch about hiring Sparano.

Believe it or not, the Media and Fans had more to do with making Shotty the scapegoat than the Jet's management.

The OL scheme and the playbook will both be simplified from the overly complicated nonsense that Schotty installed 6 years ago, then had to uninstall for Favre, couldn't install for a rookie QB and kept having to revert from whenever his offenses struggled every single season under Rex.

I think Schotty may end up being a good coordinator for a guy like Manning, or Brees, or Brady, along with a seasoned veteran O-line and seasoned veteran WR corps, but he is too good at out-smarting his own players.

He's not a good fit. Never was. I have been saying this for years.
