Strong running game and play-action are what we need.

    Sparano will bring that.

Before we bash this guy I strongly doubt Sanchez will ever throw over 60 + passes in a game with him as OC.

And were missing out on one of the incredibly impressive accomplishments this guy had.

He turned Reggie Bush into a fucking running back. Think about that. If he can turn Bush into an real running back, I can only imagine what well get out of Greene, McKnight and Powell.

Hell he even turned Henne and Moore into decent offensive weapons, and they actually use their slot receivers (Kerley time anyone ?) As long as the Wild Crap doesnt become a staple in our offense, I think this helps us win more games. The big question is will it help Sanchez though ?

Dallas offense during 2006 (the year in which Sparano assumed the offensive play calling duty) ranked 4th in average scoring per game. Is that enough for you?

If Sanchez is to become a top flight QB, he'll have to do it on his own as it's obvious this organization isn't going to help him in that endeavor.

I believe that was just the tip of the iceberg. Next year teams will be more prepared to take advantage of the rule changes and copy the teams who were most successful at it. The idea of getting destroyed when catching a pass over the middle is a fading distant memory for receivers. Of course the best QB's will always be the ones with the biggest numbers.

What I've read is that Sparano was doing the running game, Haley did the pass game. If we get both, I'm down.

    Haha, it's ok.

Since it got announced I have been ok with it, pissed about it and am now going back towards ok with it as long as the rest of the staff is good. Mainly looking for Haley to be in charge of the passing game.

I'm just mad that he is the OC. I would have much preferred that he was brought in as Callahan's replacement. I wanted an OC with some history of developing young QBs so we can get the most out of our 50 million dollar investment.

Does anyone know if the plan is to keep Matt Cavanaugh as the QB coach?

Miami should hire Brian Schottenheimer as their HC to make it up to us.

    1. Cavanaugh was fired.
    2. I would have preferred Sparano as the OL coach too.

As I said before, I'm going to keep an open mind. Everything I read about Sparano talks about how detail oriented he is, how he had a hand in every aspect of how the Dolphins were run. Leads me to think that, maybe, he failed because he stretched himself too thin, didn't delegate responsibilities to assistants the way he should have. Perhaps in a more limited role, with very specific duties, that detail oriented/micro managing approach will work for him instead of against him. That seem possible? Am I deluding myself here? :)
