of course he has complete f'ing control, that is inherent in his position so stating it is redundant.

at the end of the day it doesn't mean he decides who the coaches are, he may simply approve of Rex's decisions. just because he puts his signature to the paper doesn't mean he picks the candidates or decides whether they should be hired.

    +1

    Totally agree!

    Like I said, "it's semantics".

Don doesn't understand that Rex has control of selecting his coaches.

Raiders are such a joke. 3 coaches in 3 years now. Hmm I wonder why Hugh Jackson mortgaged the farm for Palmer. Maybe because he knew he had one year to prove himself or get canned.

He got canned cause there's a new GM, nothing more.

This is the guy Rex wanted when he was originally hired so I would be all for this. I have always said that if they are gonna move on from Schotty they better get someone who is actually a better fit. This is the guy.

What Oakland fans are saying is pretty irrelevant. Being a poor HC does not make someone a poor coordinator. Not to mention we all know how crazy fans get when their team doesn't meet expectations. Steelers fans think Dick Lebeau should be fired right now.

    A) Why dont you address the answers you've been given instead of just naysaying?

    B) Why don't you want him, and who do you think is a better fit?

lol we have to fire Shotty first before anything can happen until we do that people like Hue Jackson are gonna look for work elsewhere.Rex and Hue worked together in Baltimore the year the Ravens won the Superbowl. This could make Michael Bush wanna come here him Greene and Mcknight would be a great backfield

He was with Baltimore when Rex was hired. I believe you are referring to the Jets not allowing Oakland to interview Dennis Thurman.
