Excellent Article. A bit on the homer side, but the facts and inangibles can't be denied.

I was thinking about this yesterday when I realized all 4 home teams won.

I will never forget, "3 home teams advance, and the fuckin' Jets!"

I'm all for Mark Sanchez having a huge year next season. A new OC, wide receiver and a stronger O-Line and we should be in good shape.

As enticing as it is to imagine Peyton in Green and White I hate the idea of seeing Sanchez shipped off to another team and leading somebody else to the Superbowl. That makes me feel ill.

No more aging stars that are one sack away from us pinning our hopes on Kyle Orton or whoever our back up QB is.

Watching play-offs without Jets in them is reason enough to not like Mark Sanchez anymore. He is paid 100 million dollars and he throws interceptiosn to people less than ten feet from him more than once in a big game, unforgivable.

Watching the play offs without the Jets in them is a pretty common pursuit for most Jets fans.

The point is that in his rookie year Sanchez won two road games, a feat that was not matched by either of the rookie QB's Stafford or Dalton.

Tim Tebow in his 1st year starting had 313 yards passing and a playoff win while Mark Sanchez never once exceeded 200 in any win. Sanchez just sucks.

Let's see Tim tebow go into Foxborough in the div rd, throw 3 TDs and come out w/ the win against a Pats team not as good as last year.

Thanks for using correct stats to back up your argument. (316 yards)

Also, lets ignore the losses where Sanchez did throw over 200 and kept us in games.
Also, let us add in Mark Sanchez played on the road and did not have home field advantage, and Denver is a very good home field advantage with the thin air. The air actually had Ryan Clark sit out since he cannot play there.

Most importantly, get back to us when 8-8 will you get a home playoff game in the AFC East.

The problem I see is that a new OC means it will take nearly all year for everyone to be on the same page so at this time next year people will be saying wait till '13 now that they're all on the same page. Just my 2 1/2 cents on that matter. I'm all for it, Shotty needs to go, but its a built in excuse for Sanchez if he doesn't develop next year.

316 yds! and a 31.6 yds per and the rating for the final 30 min was 31.6

You can't make this shit up...

Can't wait for a new SNL skit!

I bet Tebow does better then Sanchez who choked vs 5th string secondarys the Pats threw at him this year. Also Tim Tebow actually understands how to read the defense, Sanchez still doesn't in year 3.

Are you kidding me? The announcers made a point the offense is built where everyone has to play man against them because they need inside defenders to stop the run/option game. They then stated Tebow has one vs one matchups across the board so he just looks at one player and waits until he gets open. So much reading of the defense there

Well, Jay Gruden was the new OC with the Bengals this year and was able to help a rookie and team make it to the playoffs. I'm sure there are other examples.

Sanchez has a hard work ethic and I'm sure is eager to prove that he belongs as Quarterback of the New York Jets new OC or not.

It was a great week with out your dumbass comments. Thought you were gone for good...

You are so obsessed with yards that its sickening. Sanchez was never asked to throw for 300+ yards. Tim Tebow completed 10 of 21 passes and had about 4 quality passes all game. When the Jets lost to the Colts in 2009, Sanchez wasnt the reason for Manning picking apart the middle of the field or Greene getting injured. The defense lost us that game. In 2010, Sanchez wasnt the fucktard that called in the worst possible consecutive 4 plays that anyone could think of with a 1st and goal at the 1. He wasnt the one who couldnt tackle Reshard Mendenhall.

He was the one that gave the whole team a half time speech that got everyone’s head back in the game, and almost led them back from a 21 point deficit.

This article is directed at people like you. Ignorant fans who are more obsessed with passing yards than wins, or cant understand the concept of a team sport. Maybe you should take up the sport of golf or wrestling or bowling. Because then you can actually place the blame on one person and not be a fool.

When a WR catches a 20 yard pass, straight-arms a guy and runs 60 more to the house, it's going to skew the passing stats. Stats are for baseball, you really have to watch the games.

Does Tebow know how to read a defense? He should be able to see one on one coverage almost every play and be able to wait til that man beats his defender. Because thats all he’s doing.

Do you remember Andre Carter raping our probowl LT all game? Do you remember those scrubs on the secondary covering up our receiver straight from jail? Or our “#1 reciever’? Or how about once again when Schotty abandoned the run?

Oh wait, I forgot! This isnt a team sport! Everything revolves around the QB position.

Funny cause Sanchez couldn't throw for 300 yards while having 59 pass attempts. How are people still defending Sanchez its a joke. Sanchez probally has 5 fans left and they are all on this board. Bet Ryan Leaf still has die hard fans left to. With a Average Qb this year we are no question in the playoffs not sitting home.

Too much to read but I assume it says that what we have in Sanchez is a QB sitting home while the playoffs go on.
