He didn't play well today but the Giants pass rush abused them. Just like the pass rush has abused Mark all year. Ryan has also played well enough in the past to get his team a first round bye. Sanchez lost games for us all year and folded up countless times. You want to call Ryan mentally soft than what does that make Sanchez. Tissue paper?
no amount of other QBs sucking is going to propel Sanchez into the elite of NFL QBs. putting Stafford in the same boat as Sanchez/Ryan just because his team lost is also ridiculous. they gave up 700 fucking yards, there was no way Detroit was going to win that game. it might've been closer though if he threw every pass to Johnson instead of trying to force it to Titus Young.
And the first year where things weren't amazing around him he folded up. He had far better defenses, offensive lines, and weapons around him. You could make that an excuse for him to say he was limited with personnel or you can say the number 5 overall pick is supposed to pick your team up and win games despite all that. We didn't draft someone 5th overall to be a game manager or we can make things good enough around to still win games. We drafted him to win games for us and that so far he has not done consistently. You give us Matt Ryan and we are playing this weekend.

I think Stafford did alright but it was his DEFENSE(or lack of) that was the determining factor in the end. They couldn't contain Brees or Sproles. All that said, however : Combined Playoff Victories for Ryan/Stafford/Freeman/Bradford? ZERO. Sanchez, the erratic one? FOUR. That makes no sense whatsoever. If someone sucks, he sucks. There's no real level of suckitude. You're either at the Level of Suck or you're not. Personally, to this date, Matt has always been able to get his team to the "Tournament"(as I call it) but once there, he can't do shit. This is where one could likely say that Sanchez sucks LESS than Matty Ice. Too bad that once he gets to the playoffs, he's a QB that DOESN'T win games that really matter. But that Sanchez kid was pretty good, though....
Do we really need a thread on every other QB losing games? Keep it to the NFL forum. Yeah, he probably is. Let's face it. Coaching helped, supporting cast helped, but if Sanchez were a better QB, we'd probably be in the playoffs.
Exactly. Too many people here believe Sanchez can do no wrong even though he was AWFUL down the stretch this season. We LOST 2 AFCCGs its getting sad that that is the greatest thing most of us Jets fans have ever seen.
