Getting a dual threat TE who can block and catch is a massive massive need, and imo could be exactly what our offense needs to not suck.

Problem is this years TE class isnt exactly a good one.

Who are some guys we could target after the first round that would fit the bill for exactly what we need ?

Not to mention having a second good TE will give us some leverage to getting a better contract from DK when hes a free agent next year

Truthfully I cant think of that many TEs who have declared that I would even want. Theres gotta be some solid options

In one of my pre-combine, workout, interview, declare deadline, pro day mocks I got us taking Coby Fleener in round 3 as he's #4 rated TE in my eyes behind Dwayne Allen, Michael Egnew and Orson Charles.

Fleener is my fav TE prospect mainly because if we go back to the hard-nosed type of O he'd be a great fit.

Do we still have Cumberland (the te who tore his Achilles dropping a td) ?

I hoping so much from Cumberland this year the man is huge... If he can learn to block we are set just need a #3 TE who is Ducasse lol

Wouldn't mind Fleener in rd 3... I still think the best possible scenario for the Jets is to have 2 TEs on the field. No 3 WR stuff...

Most of the Mock's I've read have Fleener gone late second / early third and he's typically seen as the #2 TE coming out.

I really like Fleener, but I think that the Jets have a few more critical needs in the second and third round then to pick up a TE.

I'd rather not spend a 3rd Round pick on a Tight End.

George Bryan and Jake Stoneburner should be available in Round 5. Bryan is an excellent blocker but not muh of an offensive threat. Stoneburner is a playmaker and his blockng is average.

There is no Kronk in this draft.
