Sanchez has taken ALOT of heat the last few months. Now this week it has gotten even worse for the poor fella. Seems many people are jumping the Sanchez ship after season three. He has had many ups and downs those 3 years. 1st win vs. NE in 2009: 5 INT loss in 2009: 45-3 Loss in NE in 2010: Playoff win in NE in 2011: Season ending loss in Miami in 2012: Many ups and downs during his 3 year career, but it includes 4 playoff wins and signs of improvement. The season ended on a bad note, but I don't feel it is time to move on from #6 yet. I still believe in him. The question is, do you?
There comes a time when excuses don't matter anymore. (Bad OC, bad playcalling, WR's who can't get open, terrible O-line) But that time has not come yet if you asked me. Those things truly contributed to Sanchez's year. Hopefully they get fixed in 2012 and he plays better.
Totally. We have seen greatness and leadership from him. You can't see what isn't there. He can get it back.
I'd vote in the poll if you had a third option, which would be he'll be as good as the circumstances allow. I never thought the Jets would let an OL as bad as Wayne Hunter start for them after the Adrien Clarke fiasco, but they did.
Absolutely Sanchez can lead the Jets. He showed improvement this year with a less talented team. With some smart moves in the off season, O-Line, safeties, wide receiver, Sanchez will shine.
True. Nothing more brutal to watch than that Ravens game when Sanchez seriously feared for his life each play. Can't succeed in that situation.
If they strengthen the line, get WR's who can get separation, and for God's sake, get rid of Shotty, I think he has a chance to excel. In other words, it's on the organization to put him in a position to succeed. If not, he may end up a game manager at best.
The question is a belief in Sanchez himself. You either think he can get it done or you don't. Obviously if he has terrible people around him (2011 season) it will be difficult, but are you ready to dump him? Lost faith? Thats why it is a yes or no question.
I voted yes simply because his salary means he will start next year. I think he will once again rank somewhere in the bottom half of starters in the league, and 2013 will be an interesting decision. However 2012 he basically has to be the QB, as there aren't many other reasonable options to improve the team.
