no, that is insight into what ONE player thinks, not what any significant amount of players believe. there are over 1600 players in the NFL, what one says isn't indicative of what the rest think as a whole.
Like I said earlier.. Greg took a BIG Risk here....If he gets cut, he could find a team that warns him like you said....but it could also turn out the other way. He stuck his neck out there...unnecessarily(in my opinion)...and now whatever happens to him, happens. You mean when the Camera pans to Mark during the opponents offense being on the field? You do know that the Camera doesn't stay on Mark no longer than a few seconds, right? How do we know that he wasn't talking with Schitty or the other coaches while a play was being run by the opposition? Saying that he doesn't care about winning because of his demeanor is dumb, IMO. So long as he gets on the field and makes the plays needed to win Football games, THAT is all the proof I need that he DOES care about winning. And before you bring up the "derp..derp...he was horrid so he must not care...derp..derp" comment, let me say that it is a MIRACLE he was able to throw for that many TDs and even Rush for 6 more behind that awful O-Line this year.

fuck this kid. high character my ass. things that happen in the locker room should stay there. i thought it was weird that slauson came out and mentioned rex crying but this is even worse. how is this going to help the situation? these are all conclusions that could easily be drawn by following the team. we don't need an interview from MARK BRUNELL'S BACKUP for confirmation. are we supposed to feel bad for mcelroy that he was such a great guy stuck in a room full of bad guys? fuck him. get him off the team.

I really dont think so....I think it was brilliant. And hes just not another long shot 3rd string qb. Not sure about anyone else but he sure has hell opened my eyes in the preseason. Yes..still a long shot. Combine that with either balls of steel...or as you put it...career suicide...coming from a qb? That would be music to my ears. Add to that the program that he came from? Alabama? I mean...this isnt some dumb hick. He might find it very hard walking into this locker room come next spring..but if Im a GM and you put all of the above on the table? I say he has no problem getting invites. I just hope he is allowed back to the Jets. Im dying to see the rest of the package. And dont be surprised if he does "the right thing" and apologizes. That will be a load of bullshit now. The damage is done already...and I love it.
it's not about whether his take on the locker room situation is right or wrong. of course, he's right. he's not lying. but to air out all the dirty laundry in a radio interview is ridiculous. he's not helping the situation at all. and the rest of the country hates the jets. they love it that it happened to us but there's no way they would want it for their team.
He should not apologize! Rex should apologize for allowing this shit to go on. Brian should apologize and resign. McElroy has the most upside of any of the QB's we have on the roster after Mark. He is probably upset going from the best football conference in the nation to a mediocrity fest that was the Jets this year. Saban>Rex, right now. A fence post >Schotty forever.

Hey....I want to see what we got in this kid, too. But he just made things harder on himself when he didn't need to. He was LUCKY to be picked up by ANY NFL Team, let alone the Jets. If the Jets cut him, and no other team wants him, he may very well regret exercising his right of Free Speech on Radio. Doesn't matter how right he was. They should do a poll asking if a 3rd-string player airing an NFL Team's in-house business was the right thing to do... Bet you that number would be 99% "NOT The right thing to do".
I really think McElroy wants to be with Saban's coaching staff as some sort of QB coach so I don't know how badly he wants the NFL.

The biggest part that bothers me is if you look at successful teams in the past this shit doesn't happen. And when talking leadership Sanchez should watch some shit about jim Kelly or John elway...either one of those guys would have grabbed Holmes by the facemask and dragged his ass of the field. My good buddy was in the military for years and he always says when it comes to leadership you either got it or you don't.:.it can't be taught.
I do agree he made his chances with the Jets harder. Im mean...I think he did. I disagree though bud...it I was a GM and saw a qb with an attitude out there...he will be gobbled up quickly.
Well then if that happened, then that's good news for Greg 'cause his GAMBLE paid off. Either he was going to be a QB for the Jets or for another team(and it worked out). But the possibility for the opposite effect is still there, though. We'll just have to see what happens.
I was listening to the WFAN today at around 11-12. Dont remember the host name but he pretty much agreed, McElroy f***** up. Basically saying hes a rookie, first year experience in an NFL locker room and popping off about character and the teammates hes been around. And to top it off, he runs off to a radio station miles away from NY to talk about his team. This will not end well for him.
