So you're saying because there Qbs are bad we should keep our bad QB??SHM

I don't see anything about the teams who cut bait on young QBs were the teams were right like Vince Young or Kolb or times when teams suck with a bad QB too long. No your cherry picking the best two situations and saying that's what we have. How is that not comparing???

You might as well bring up the Falcons getting rid of Farve the way you guys just try throw out Eli and Brees' names.

    Pot, Kettle much?

i have never seen ANY quarterback look to check down to the safety valve faster than Boomer in his last season with the Jets.

The same Boomer who choked away an 8-5 playoff berth in 1993 and then let 1994 spiral out of control, too.

Nice summary of JB's overlong post (not that I don't post the occasional long post, but I digress).

And fair enough as far as it goes, but unfortunately the number of problems we have on the Jets are not limited to questions about Sanchez's viablity as Qb. The list of other problems would probably be longer than JB's post, and if all you're going to do is chill out in the off season, I expect your next post will be, oh, around the draft, if that early?

    Have a nice winter.

Anybody who watched the last few games knows perfectly well that he is right...Sanchez sucks and will never be a franchise QB..accept it.

The poster you are talking to seems to think he came up with the idea of comparing Sanchez to Brees.

    Heh.

I wonder why he did not compare him to Akili Smith, or Ryan Leaf.

"If Peyton is able to play and the new general manager and whoever they hire to run that team out there decides to go without Peyton Manning, then I'm sure that the Jets will be sniffing around. Because that's what the Jets do."

Is Boomer implying that the Jets are going to or even SHOULD fire Tanny? I think that would be a very bad and impulsive move. Rex and Tanny should be here for a long time. The fact that people even think Rex should be fired is crazy. Rex will get this team back on track next season, and I have full confidence that the Jets will prevail next season.

What does that have to do with whether he is right or wrong about Sanchez?

Are you saying only Qb's who have had a better career than Boomer have a right to an opinion about Sanchez? Because if so, I concede right here that leaves me out.

    How about you?

He's been doing those Monday Morning shows with the Boston Sports channels for years. I alway enjoy listening to him. I may not always agree with him but he's a pretty intelligent analyst. Doesn't he also have a show in NY now? .

He's playing to the Boston audience up here when he's on but who did he pick to get to the SB from the AFC? Pittsburgh, not the Patriots.

As far as his description of Sanchez goes, it might be a little harsh but tell me there aren't fans here who think it's not that far from the truth.

He didn't go to Boston, he does an interview by phone once a week on their station.

I think Boomer is just very disappointed in the Jets this year, and he is a fan of the team. And even though he's a fan, he's also an analyst and is expected to be honest and not a cheerleader.

He loves the Bengals too, but he won't lie and tell you he thinks they're gonna win when he thinks differently. He said they weren't ready to win this year and expects Houston to handle them.

Early in the year he was expecting big things from them, and they never came to be.

I think he was right on the money with his comments.

I think he is saying the Jets are looking for moves that make headlines as much as ones that make the team better. In the world of PSL's it is part of the game.

Though if Manning is healthy, a move to get him would do both of those things.

I am confident that we can solve major issue on OL
Not sure if we can fix both OLB & S issues in one off season
I'm not so worried about WR or RB

I am willing to chill on Schotty and Sanchez

    I eagerly await the draft

I will probably post again before it.

He is just amazingly bad. I want all 22 video just to make the Hunter Highlight Reel.

There was a play against the Fins on 2nd and a few where the Jets called a run to Greene off tackle on his side that was close to the funniest thing I have ever seen on a football field.

Keller got his block and Moore got his block and Hunter like shimmied, I can't even find the right word to describe it, through two guys and exited the screen into the box while the two guys grabbed Greene and stopped him short of the 1st down. Hunter just juked his way past both guys he could have blocked and was walking off the line of scrimmage still shaking his shoulders as he went.

It looked like a bad version of the Monster Mash or something. I'd just love to know where he wound up on that play because it couldn't have been any place useful.
