Exactly what I was thinking. Our Quarterback is stepping up, being a leader, and calling out the bs that went on. Too bad it's not our starting Quarterback.

So I listened to it and what I got out of it is that McElroy talked way too much about topics that the hosts should never have brought up. He has no business talking about other people on that offense and on the staff at this point.

He clearly pointed a heavy finger at Santonio Holmes but he did it in a way that could reflect very poorly on Plaxico and LT and Keller also. He made a few nonsensical statements along the way, like the Jets clearly had Super Bowl talent but never came together.

He gushed all over Shotty and then he disemboweled him with the observation about the Jets never sticking with the same offensive plan during the season. He specifically mentioned the 69 (was more like 66) pass attempts the Jets had against the Giants and then he meandered away from that, leaving the offensive staff hanging in his wake.

He loves Rex Ryan and his approach but everything else he said contradicts that.

By about half way through the interview I'm thinking he's half in the bag and the hosts caught him at the wrong time because he just had no business opening his mouth like that in a way that was sure to get back to NYC. One of the hosts had Jet's season tickets as a kid, what are the odds that McElroy's mouth doesn't become another salvo at the Jets organization over the next week?

Thanks for the recap. Seriously. That's very interesting.

Tanny is on with Fatty at 5. Wonder how quick he will have to answer questions about it?

I know he isn't supposed to come out and say it but some part of me personally feels good about someone FINALLY throwing the deserving parties under the bus. First thing I thought about Rex coming here after his opening press conference was "Wow, this is gonna be a 180 from Mangini." He's worse than Mangini. He runs his mouth about winning and doing things his way, but he NEVER holds anyone accountable.

I still like him but how bout Rex had multiple opportunities to make an example of how things are and how things are gonna be and he did shit.

Bottom line: McElroy is gonna get shit for this (probably deservingly). But good for him.

You should watch some of the games. Sanchez sucked this year behind a shitty oline and with shitty receivers.

Last year in the AFC Championship game Sanchez showed heart getting knocked on his ass against the steelers and hanging in there, one possession away from the big dance.

One thing that would be really tough to question is Sanchez' toughness. The kid takes some brutal shots, this year on a regular basis, and plays through it.

I'm inclined to agree. A few days removed from Rex making a tearful plea for team unity and this happens.

If they don't respond quick and harsh, everyone on the team will think anything goes (if they don't already).

Put me squarely in the camp that really respects McElroy for speaking up FOR the team and AGAINST the bullshit.

Put me in the camp that respects WAYNE fucking HUNTER for simply REFUSING to tolerate Holmes's whiny nonsense in the closing minutes of the season.

For those who say that McElroy is too young to speak out against a locker room full of selfish malcontents...

For those who say that Hunter turned out to be a disappointment on the field, and therefore must take Holmes's cock in his mouth...

For those that insist that only the most talented players have the right to speak, when no one else is calling a spade a spade...

Wow. I don't know what to tell you.

    This is on Tannenbaum.

Jettison Shotty, jettison, holmes, jettison Sanchez.

    McElroy for starting qb!

For whatever it's worth, Mark Schlereth said it's probably 100% true, but McElroy needs to shut up and keep it behind closed doors.

Hugh Douglas said he probably won't play for the Jets next year due to this.
