Hey, I'm ready to see what a new OC can do with Sanchez but that's it. If he shits the bed next year or starts the first half poorly then it's time to move on....I think we can all agree on this.
You expect him to start out like Drew Brees after getting a completely new playbook? No matter what happens, as long as Schotty gets the axe, the Jets offense is going to start out slow in 2012. It's inevitable.
I'd like to see not only a new OC, but new faces on the O line at RT and possibly RG. Jets went from ranking 4th in rushing in 2010 while giving up 28 sacks to ranking 22nd in rushing while giving up 40 sacks. Now, how can anyone blame Sanchez for that? Especially given the fact that Sanchez's numbers actually improved. Imagine how good he would've looked if he wasn't running for his life.
Sanchez needed a playoff game to show his true colors.... Seriously though, what pisses me off about the media is: 1) Most Jets fans know whats up - We've lived thu 100x worse so #### off media we can take anything 2) I NEVER wanted Sanchez, Never got on the bandwagon and started the "Jets fans Vs Sanchez Club" before it was cool BUT.... Anyone and their mother could start a list of things Sanchez NEEDS to succees, and frankly HE GOT NONE OF IT this year - to repeat HE GOT NONE!!!!!... NO HELP... Crap Defense, Crap OL, Crap WRs', Crap Playcalling, crap game planning, Crap adjustments and penalties up the ASS...... Tom Brady doesn't suceed with the jailbreak OL we had at times and constant 1st and 15 and 1st and 20 situations they had.... 3) All these media jerkoffs saved this shit for 3 years now and every one of em are tripping over themselves with the Told ya so's.....Spare me. 4) I'm KING OF THE DARKSIDERS - IMO, I Owned the Playoff question Thread saying people were nutz and the team looks like crap - That said, it's never as bad as it seems, especially for what Jets fans have been thru - as bad as it might seem, If the Jets don't get hosed by the Denver game and the Jets don't make a few stupid penalties, they heading to Houston this week with the Chance to win and the Chance for all the Ball Washers to jump back on the Jets bandwagon and talk about Sanchez the Playoff king.......... Just like freakin that. I'm a Darksider before any of these media whores like Cimini - but, they can Eat me cuz Cimini was doing the Jets dance thru the playoffs last year after having 1 hand on these same Told ya so Articles and ready to pounce..... All these Media jerkoffs get to play all sides of the equation.... That said - I trust Rex, Get OL help, Shore up the defense and win ONE MORE FREAKING GAME and write another book. the difference in the NFL REALLY IS just a few plays and the difference between last years few miracle comebacks and the utter perception of chaos now is miniscule. It's probably good for us that Rex is getting blasted and is going to work his ass off..... I bitched and moaned all year about crappy Football - But, I'm back already. BRING IT. I bottomed out - It's time for me to go on the offensive against all these clowns now jumping on the Told ya so bandwagon - Cimini, Boomer, Stephen Freaking A Smith COME ON GUY, you're a clueless moron...... Guy wanted the Giants blown up 4 weeks ago!!!!! EVERYONE wanted the Giants blown up in week 4... and Everyone wanted the Giants blown up in 2007 when I stood alone and told Giant fans that Eli was worthy and the Giants could win it all that year........
I wouldn't say it's inevitable. Certainly too soon to tell considering nothing has actually changed yet. Keep in mind, when Brees left the warm embrace of Schotty he thrived.
Yeah, well, Brees didn't have Kate Upton licking his butthole on Friday nights, either. Sanchez and Brees are very different types of personalities.
I have one thing to tell Boomer: How did the turf taste when you were playing for the Jets during Kotite days? I remember you eating that a lot. Now say what?
Do you guys really believe this talking point??? Eli Manning I kinda of get since he was in that first QB class were teams went to the high draft pick Rookies early. But really the only QB to start on a Superbowl caliber team out that class was Big Ben. And we know not to compare MS to Big Ben, he shits on Sanchez in every way. Brees was drafted 11 years ago, he came up in a different NFL. Only 2 QBs, Manning and Trent Green, threw for 4,000 yards in 2003. THis year 7 threw for 4,000 and 3 for 5,000. I mean, what's point to comparing him to QB's who aren't in his situation??? MS was put into a win now situation for 3 years and has pretty much looked at best average. And you have to say at best average, because his great progress year he had when compared to other QB's from around when he was drafted is pretty much bad years for them when you look at all the QB stats, not just Td's and INT's. You could try to cherry pick exceptions to the rule, but the likely hood is we don't have Brees or even ELi at QB.
I don't mind newbies acting like players here. It can be amusing. But don't think for a second that your arguments are original to you, or that they have not been presented before and found wanting.
Who are you calling a newbie? You've been on this board for 1 year longer than me! Can it or do your homework. Second, you think your "Sanchez sucks" arguments are original? You do realize that you sound just like three or four other guys on this board, right? Also you seem pretty dead set on dismissing statistics or not even using them to back up your arguments. So, let's hear it. How do you explain the Jets running game going from 4th to 22nd and them going from giving up 28 sacks to giving up 40 all while Sanchez's numbers improved year to year from 2010? Huh tough guy?
Dude, just because the sports media include a bunch of cakeholes does not make everything they say wrong. And that is a very long post by you to basically say don't listen to the media, as if that somehow makes the point that Sanchez is in fact a good Qb. In short and to paraphrase Shakespeare from Hamlet, I fear you protest a tad too much, dude. Meaning about those assholes in the media. I mean when my asshole farts out a foul, garlicy smell, it tells you something. It tells you I put a whole bunch of garlic powder on my peperoni pizza. Even if it is only an asshole.
And how do you know what we have at QB? You say he's looked average, yet his playoff numbers are better than most QBs that are considered above average. You say not to compare. I wasn't. I was saying that we've heard this kind of knee-jerk reaction talk before and, if you actually look at the bigger picture, Sanchez HAS improved statistically. What HASN'T improved is the Jets OLine and run game. Starting to see how these things work together yet? No Oline = no time to go through progessions = rushed throws = bad decisions. No Oline = poor run game = no play action = doubled WRs. And despite what you may think, there are plenty of examples of QBs having bad years early. Look at Josh Freeman this year! Look at Flacco who has been bailed out by a great running game in Baltimore!
I'll even help you out. Go to NFL.com/stats. Find me something that makes me give a shit what you say.
You missed the part where I said I never wanted Sanchez, watched him more in college than the cakeholes and knew what he was..... BUT, damn did the guy get any help? fact is he isn't going anywhere - so, get a competitive #2, Get the Defense, OL, Run game and execution fixed THAT YOU NEED NO MATTER WHO IS QB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not listening to a bunch of media like Stephen A who know Shit , are on and off bandwagons like the Giants this year, but not in week4, and the jets last year and have Pre-scripted crap ready to go...... I said Sanchez sucks 3 years ago............................. But, damn, fix everything else at least. Jets are possibly 1 game away and a Denver shedule ####ing away from being the darling of these same media jackals.....
I don't really understand your post, but it looks like you made sense at the end. The NFL heaps unnecessary and excessive praise on you when you win and kicks you when you're down. So, if you're saying chill out and let's see what happens in the off-season, I agree
