I for one feel like Schotty is gone no matter what, I think that Rex and Mike T are showing confidence now because the best of all worlds would be if someone else took the problem off our hands for us. If he's still hanging around by June I expect him to be quietly let go, especially if an option like Norv Turner is availble

It can't be that late. If the Jets are making a change it has to be by mid February at the outside so that Sanchez and the OC get enough time together with the new system before the off-season OTA's start in March.

If Schotty is still here on March 1st he'll be the OC next season and in all probability everybody will get fired after the 2012 season is done.

    Wiggle Room

"After consulting with our owner Mr Johnson, and revauluating this past year offensive production, it has been decided that we must move in a different direction.

In that vain, it has been decided to part ways with our current OC, we wish him the best of everything and thank him for his loyality and many years of service to this club.

We know that he will do great things in the future, and will be a fine asset to whoever adds him to there program....

    wiggle room.......

This post needs to be referenced when someone only reads one post instead of the conversation as a whole. If you read my last post in the thread I was simply explaining the ways we can all go crazy if we take this too seriously.

Every team can look at almost every decision and think back as to "what if". Theyre are very few "cant miss" "perfect" opportunities or situations. (ex. Brees to the saints, Favre to the vikings in 09', Packers drafting rodgers making him sit). Everyone is allowed to make poor decisions every once and a while, but since its the offseason theres no reason why we cant entertain the idea that a billionaire such as Woody Johnson and his super ego, would use our "beloved" NYJ and their fan base as a way to fatten his pockets. Not every owner is crying if their team doesnt win a superbowl. This is not the NBA and most owners are reeping huge profits, with the exception of a few smaller "dead" markets. Theyre are very few "Hess" family type owners left in the league, many of the owners only purchase teams to boost their stature and widen their legacy.
