Don't be silly. One way or another, Schotty is gone. These "votes of confidence" from Rex and Tanny are part of an effort to get their friend a head coaching job. Doesn't mean he'll be back. That ain't happening.
I will always support the Jets in my heart BUT if Schotty isn't fired I'm going to spend 0 money on them. As of now we're a heartless and gutless organization with a fat emotional slob as a HC and a GM in denial... I'm still hopeful they get their heads out of their ass by March... but if they don't fuck them. And the only thing a fan can do to say "fuck you Jets" is not give them any money...

Tanny shit the bed on providing us depth. Rex needs to stfu and stop acting like people should be scared of them. Rex also needs to take more control of the team. Or his "I don't stepnon my coaches toes" attitude wil cost him his job We need a rt and og olb and mlb and a safety. Maybe even another dl. I kinda like what Jilozzo was saying about it. If the Jets truly want to stay the course, then they need to decide what kinda of team they want. Obviously, offense isn't Schotty's strong suit so it would wise for them to commit to being a clone of the 2000 Ravens. That is, great defense, mediocre to lousy offense and just let your defense win games for you. Overhaul the defense and roll with that for a few years while Sanchez stumbles his way thru from being a 3rd year rookie QB to a 5th year QB. They'll never balance the equation with the people they have on hand so our resident geniuses in the FO/CS need to choose what kind of team they want or they will simply rest on those 2 AFCCG's.
As long as Sanchez is the Qb, who cares who the OC is? Face it, the problems were mostly with players not executing, and oh yeah the D needs tons of help, too. Fans who won't support a team because of who the OC is, that's pretty funny.

I'll always support the Jets no matter what, but I have no problem with fans who take a season or two off because of Schottenheimer getting retained. Supporting asinine decisions doesn't make you a better fan than someone else, it just makes you a person who can't look at shit objectively and follow blindly, and well...that's just stupid.
