Miano is right. the Giants peaked at the right time. AND if they do get to the SB no one around here can say a fucking word because they went on the road through Green Bay and New Orleans. I'm not sure a Jet fan, having seen our playoffs the last two seasons, can underestimate a team that's getting hot, entering the playoffs.
We weren't hot entering the playoffs last year we entered losing 3 of 5 with the Bills laying down to us in week 17. The year before we beat an Indianapolis team who quite and a good Bengals team who wasn't going to show us anything before we played them the next week. Wouldn't say we were a hot team entering the playoffs either year. Just shows how great of a defensive coach that coach Ryan is.
I never said the jets were hot. I said the giants are. I said I don't understand how a jet fan can underestimate a hot team going into the playoffs -- meaning, when considering how improbable our runs were, anything can happen, especially for a hot team.
It seems like the giants do one of two things in the playoffs under coughlin. Most of the time they have laid a complete egg and haven't even showed up. The super bowl year they went on a run. Not sure which way this year will go.
I think the Giants can do some damage, honestly. I hate their fans with a passion. I do. I hate that they got the first playoff game at MetLife, not us. I hope Matty Ice rapes the shit out of them, but I don't think it will happen, honestly..
NFC east I am sure the fans tossing cold water on Winning a division at 9-7 this year were doing the same thing in 2002 when the Jets won the AFC east with a 9-7 record and hosted a home game. The other Ny team that year won 10 games and had to go on The road. I also see that the NFC eastern division champion for the 2011 season went 4-0 in games vs the AFC east.
I think the Falcons are starting to get hot to. Can the Giants cover any of the Falcons recievers/tight ends? hell no. It should be a highscoring game, just remember coughlin/eli have yet to win a home playoff game.
Its a joke when a team like the Eagles goes 8-8 when they were the hands down favorites. When was the last time the Pats had Super Bowl expectations and went 8-8? never

He's a top 5 pick! Meanwhile Dez Bryant ranked 29th in the NFL in receiving yards and never had an 100 yard game, yet he's the standard for the top receiver according to Tank. He never talks about calvin johnson.
