The team needs a new philosophy other than release all the veteran, home-grown leaders while buying up all the cheap talent released by other teams due to attitude problems/prison time.

Santonio Holmes has and always will be the same dumb receiver. Thats what he is, and it will never change. I think the issue here is that somehow you were all duped into this idea that he changed. Its not really an issue. The issue is how to better win football games. Then all that garbage doesn't matter.

You know how many players will be suiting up next weekend who have attitude problems? The answer is, A LOT.

Santonio Holmes being a cancer in the locker room does not change the fact that Sanchez is garbage. So you can all keep trying to point all the fingers at Holmes when the OC and QB are trash

Nobody is saying Tone is the sole reason we went 8-8. He obviously didn't help if he is giving up weeks before our season is over

It just echos the mistake the Jets made in not bringing back Edwards. I don't care what happened in San Fran, we have no way of knowing what happens if he stays in NY. The guy had an issue with drinking and driving but nobody ever questioned his desire and playing ability on the field. I'd rather have a guy who has issues off the field and leaves them there then a guy who brings those issues into the lockerroom.

People say that Holmes single handidly won a few games for us last year but want to ignore how much better of a QB Mark was with Edwards,Cotch and Keller then he is now. The 3 best games Sanchez played in his career as far as regular season games were week 2-4 of 2010. Right after Holmes came off his suspension he hasn't been nearly as good.

I've never been a big believer in giving guys time to mature. You learn very early in life how conduct yourself with class and honor. Look at guys like Marshall Faulk, Curtis Martin, Chad Pennington and see how they were raised.

Remember the headphones incident on the plane before he ever played a snap for us?

This guy has always been a dick and a smartass ... and I suspect he always will be. unfortunately, we're stuck with him

i don't know what the hell their thinking bringing him back.

wide receivers are expendable and history proves it.

the vikings had a better record the season after trading randy moss, the raiders had a better record the season after trading him, the patriots have done just fine without him etc.

the steelers went from 9-7 with holmes on the team in 09 to making the super bowl the year he left.

the jets started 3-1 without him when he was suspended in 2010.

hell the 49ers lost jerry rice for damn near the entire 97 season and they went 13-3 which was a better record then what they were in 96.

Why he's still on the team is beyond me. it's been proven time and time again with better wide receivers that they've been replaced and the team did just fine.

He might be a cancer, but Sanchez is a fucking retard. How is it that in the biggest game of your season you throw your best wr the ball one fucking time? And dont give me this shit about him never being open.

Sanchez threw to Greene, who literally cannot catch, about 4 times. And he threw to Tone once.

Does anyone really blame Tone? The guy has won his whole life, is supposed to be the number one wr, and has a qb who doesnt throw to him even though the offense sucks. The tantrum was wrong, but I know I would have told Sanchez to go fuck himself as well...

maybe Holmes needs to do a better job separating like the Defensive lineman Sanchez threw to.

This incident happened at the best time, if that's possible, as the season is over and a lot of water can pass under the bridge before the next time the Jets take the field.

Jets can't trade Holmes...if traded, at best, it will be a $5 million cap hit
Holmes is just another situation a new OC can fix
