    1) pretty sure parcells is done for good.
    2) I agree with you, we should bring norv in.
3)I just don't see Chad coming back to the organization after the bitter end to his jets career.
    4)fistpumps!!!!!!!!!
5)the problem isn't the WR coach, it's the players themselves. santonio is a fucking diva prick and plax is slow as fuck...
    6) really?? I dont see klecko as a guy who would be interested in a coaching position. try again.

He was hired by Wayne Huizenga as the Dolphins staggered to the end of a 1-15 season in 2007. In the Parcells regime's first year in 2008, Miami made a great leap forward to 11-6 and a playoff berth under first-year NFL coach Tony Sparano, who also came from the Cowboys. The following year they missed the playoffs and then during that off season the team was sold and he was allowed to leave and receive full play for the balance of his contract with the change of control.

The guy may be a scumbag but he knows football and can turn teams around. He is not a pussy wanna be like Tannenbaum.

Lol I hate these type of posters it's like you're not allowed to say anything negative about the team. If you do then you are "overreacting"

How many seasons like this have we as a fanbase been through? When are we ever gonna take that next step and actually start winning championships? So excuse me if I don't share you guys sunny disposition.

I give Rex his credit but he failed on his promise of a superbowl.

    1) Not only no, but HELL NO. Bill Parcells screwed the Jets over when he quit before. He is responsible for Tanny, Bradway and Al Groh.
    2) Under normal circumstances I would be somewhat in favor of Turner as the Jets' OC, but after seeing the horrendous year that Rivers and the Chargers' offense had, I would be inclined to say no this year
    3) Chad is smart, but I'm not sure how good a QB coach he would be. I'd be willing to take a gamble as he couldn't be any worse than Cavanaugh.
    4. NO I despise Sporano and don't want him anywhere near the Jets
    5. I don't believe the WR coach is the problem, so I disagree here
    6. I would be in favor of bringing in Klecko.

You are over reacting because your expectations are crazy high. Rex has only been here three years. With the exception of this year, Rex has really brought the best out of this team. He is clearly taking us in the right direction, a lot of factors have played into why we had such a bad year.

Rex isn't gone. He hasn't "failed" on his promise of a super bowl.

He truly believes that he will get this team to the SB. He truly believes that he can win the SB. What is wrong with that? Just because it hasn't happened in his first three years, doesn't mean it wont.

That is why it is an over reaction. Statements like that is over reacting. It is only one bad season under, Rex.

    Get over it.

There is a lot to be unhappy about, I'm not saying everyone must be sunshiners. I'm not even close to making that statement, but it's stupid to be so dramatic about it. Your not even using your head when you make a statement where you are saying that Rex has failed his Super Bowl talks. The fat lady hasn't sung yet, it's not over. Give it time.

I am starting to question the drafts the last 3 yrs, all of them have question marks and are at best ok: Sanchez, Greene, ducasse, Wilson, Connor (3rd round FB), McKnight, wilkerson, Ellis, Powell, etc

This is not a bust mail but if only 2 of them would have been a home run , we would be in a fantastic position. Think about it' ducasse turned out to be a really good rt and Greene running at 5 yrds a carry a la Jackson, would have been a totally different season.

Right. After Rex Ryan insulted him publicly, he's going to come work for Ryan.

Rex said the 2011 jets will win the superbowl. Therefore he failed on his promise. Not like I actually take his talk seriously.

He was saying that Pioli and Haley, two Parcells guys, did a poor job with the Chiefs.

You want to know what is wrong with that? The heard coach sets the expectations and make people follow him, including players, coaches, fans, owners, media etc.
Rexis loosing credibility in all camps and that he will realize is a problem. I am sure you have been watching football long enough to have experienced when a coach gets negative momentum by over promising, it his hard to turn around.Rex is what he is, but he is also very naive and inexperienced as a head coach, which shows.

Josh McDaniels is now available. If we can get him to replace Schotty I'd go for that in a heartbeat.

That's our most glaring problem at the moment. Like I've been saying since about halfway through the season and got slammed for it repeatedly on these forums, our offense sucked ass. Rex and Pettine do a good job with our defense, but it is hard to play good defense all the time when you turn the ball over so much and the offense has major consistency issues.

Keep yourself occupied with Madden 12, and do not post on this forum ever again.

Don't make up opinions for others so that you can argue with yourself. Check my post history & you'll see that I've listed: WR, Safety, OLB, Safety, OL, TE as areas that Jets need to upgrade the talent.

Having those needs doesn't mean that everybody in management needs to be shit canned. You're letting your emotions & panic overlook the accomplishments of this existing regime. When it comes to talent, the Jets have the best C in the game, one of the greatest CB in NFL history, solid LT, serviceable & cheap LG. Greene is good enough to succeed in a RB rotation, there's young DL that look like they'll be in contributors in the future & Maybin is looking like a good, cheap pass rushing specialist & Wilson is turning into a solid nickle back. When Cro doesn't brain fart, he's a solid #2 CB ( though I do think he's over priced).

Tanny & Ryan have done more than enough to survive one .500 season.

Wouldn't blame Parcells for the Dolphins. He turned that team around & then when he wanted to leave the organization the new owners begged him to not quit. Dolphins collapsed again after being built into a solid team.

Parcells does deserve props for turning around multiple franchises:
    Cowboys
    Pats
    Jets
    Dolphins

Two SB with Giants & one with his backup QB. Parcells deserves his media darling status.

    BRILLIANT IDEA

he can come in, screw up the draft for three years, blow the salary cap to smithereens and then QUIT on the team and go back to ESPN

    what an idea

Yeah, it's fair to assume he'll be fired, but he hasn't been yet and he still under contract for 2012.
