1. more likely that necessary changes will be made. 2. More importantly, as painful as losing was, I don't know how I would physically be able to handle a jets win, a bengals loss, a raiders loss a broncos loss but not getting into the playoffs because of the debacle at the end of the texans game to lose by 1 glass half full?
Jets 2012 new years resolutions are 1. get a pass rush 2. replace wayne hunter 3. ditch schotty 4. complete a pass more than 30 yards at some point,( not kerley) 5. get a punter and a kicker 6. get rid of holmes, pace and scott! 7. get some safetys 8. wire rex's jaws shut!!!
clearly this team was not built to go far in the playoffs so it saved us the heartbreak. No way it would have gone on to beat some combination of Baltimore/New England/Pittsburgh/Green Bay/New Orleans/Any NFC team for that matter. 16th pick. Not too bad. Bring it. I'll be able to leave the draft earlier. Excited about a new OC too.
we lost to the hated fucking dolphins today. and had to watch that faghole jason taylor walk off the field a winner. there is no positive to ever losing to the dolphins. ever.
Frankly, I'm glad the Jets went home today too. Besides the fact that I think that they fucked too many good players who wore the green & white with dignity, they were not a good team. And how can you not root for your team in the playoffs. Its impossible. Even if they suck as we all know the 2011 New York Jets did. I just hope that Tannenbaum has learned something about quality players now and if he hasn't maybe the knucklehead Woody Johnson did and he can somehow pass it to the Team.
About the only positive is that we got a higher draft pick in a good draft. There will be several quality players that can address our needs.
If the Jets had won today, I would have certainly been more angry/depressed than I am with the loss. Could ya'll imagine if the Jets had missed the playoffs after having everything break the way it needed because the Texans decided to go for 2 from the 7-yard line?
Positive of losing: Ryan and Tannenbaum won't be able to once again delude themselves into thinking they're close to Super Bowl contention. Being a "playoff team" is a deodorant that this team can hardly afford right now. They need to confront their need for major changes.
Does anyone here really trust Mr. T to pick a quality player in the draft? I sure don't. He'll choose more hyped-up stiffs.
studs: d'brick, mangold, revis, harris serviceable: kyle wilson, mcknight, greene, slauson, keller young emerging guys: kerley, wilkerson so to answer your question; yes, yes i do trust Mr. T to pick a quality player in the draft
The #1 Positive of Losing today: Not having to watch this shit anymore. It has been a rough season for us Jets fans. Hopefully they make some proper moves and get this thing fixed.
