He's gone. NFL contracts are not guaranteed (like baseball contracts) so they can cut him and won't have to pay him anything (except any guaranteed money). A guy who quits is not worth keeping around. Generally, I think Tanny is a good GM, but his lack of action to add O-line help is one of the main reasons for this mediocre season. Hunter was a disaster at RT and there were plenty of options in free agency and during the season.
i dont think its as much about the money as it is about the cap issues it will create. if it eats up 15 mill of cap room to cut this pos then it probably wont happen as much of an addition by subtraction it would be.
