Stop with the nonsense. He is NOT leaving Indy. If he plays, it's for them. They may or may not take Luck but Irsay is not letting him go even if The Polians say it is for the best. He means too much to the franchise in Indy. Irsay saw his father throw away the Baltimore franchise and the goodwill of Unitas, etc. Manning is retiring or playing for Indy, with or without Luck or a bunch of top picks from another team who select Luck.
No, but if you read what Archie Manning has said, what Jim Irsay has said, and what the fans want (check out Bob Kravits at INDYStAR.COM), you realize this is not Brett Favre- GB.
why would anyone want Brett favre part II? Sanchez is YOUNG and developing, don't be typical fans. Be better than that
Not to say we're going to get/go for him but I think the Colts are stupid if they get Luck and go ahead and pay Manning all that money. This season proved just how bad that team is as a whole, they keep Manning and get Luck it will set that franchize back 4-5 years.
Stfu with your apologist crap, junc. You're so god damn annoying with all our contrarian bullshit all the time. Manning would be light years better than what favre was here, let alone Sanchez.
I think Manning is a huge reach but Sanchez is YOUNG and getting worse in front of your eyes. At the very least, the Jets need to get another QB younger then Brunnell in there.
Developing? Yeah, his play today with THE ENTIRE SEASON ON THE LINE really showed how well these 3 seasons have helped him develop.
U kidding me? do you think Oliver Luck who played QB, would allow his star son to sit on the bench for 3 years? hell no. Either Manning goes, or Luck goes. They wont be on the same team.
yeah b/c QBs never have bad seasons, they just get better and better every year. You are spoiled w/ Brady but it doesn't work that way nearly everywhere else.
Until he is starting week 1 for Indy, it is worth discussing. And if he is there, he better be a Jet. It's that simple..
I know better than a guy who thinks Namath was overrated, who thinks Scotty is a good oc, and thinks Tom Brady is a physically impressive specimen.
The colts owe Manning a $28 million roster bonus ($14 million deferred in 2013 but earned f he is on the roster this March) in March plus another $7 million in salary for 2012. $35 million is a lot to pay a QB along with paying Luck. UNless Manning restructures its doubtful he remains in Indy.
how did he play w/ the season on the line in postseason the last 2 years? So no QB has ever had a bad game in a situation like today? Interesting.
