I don't question him long term at all, QBs have bad years. Mark had one this year, he's still developing and we had many problems besides the QB this year. We have a bunch of questions after this season, QB isn't one of them.
So,,,,,where do we go from here.....I will be interested to see the comments of those who have so long supported Mark. Mark will certainly be back next year, but at this point he looks like damaged goods..aka David Carr......I just want an open QB competition next year
I say we fire Schittyheimer and give Sanchez one year under another OC. If what we see now continues, then look for another QB.
Now in the last 40 possesions (through Eagles game), Jets Offense is a net 19 points. That's an average of 6 points per game more than they give up to the other team. 43 points scored by Jets O. 24 points given up off TD returns, returns into FG range, and safeties. Cannot win with ineptitude like that. Defense is playing fine if there was any compliment to their play. Forced 2 turnovers, held Miami to 10 points (9 pts have come from D stops where the O turned it over). Much the same with the Giants game and Denver game-- had the Offensive opportunities and just missed them away.
