IMHO when you are looking for teams to lose so you can advance that means you know your team is a loser. In FB there is a saying to be the best you have to beat the best

How has that division title thing worked out for the Pats recently? Let me ask you, what would you rather have, a division title or a playoff win?

In the past two seasons, the Pats have two great division titles and zero - count em- zero playoff wins. In fact, the great Pats have not won a playoff game since January 2008 - almost four years and counting.

In the meantime, the Jets have won 4 playoff games the past two seasons, including one in Foxboro that I seem to recall quite well last year. So make your lists. I'll take playoff wins over regular season wins any day.

This is inane. I thought we were finished with the "big arm=good QB" argument. And the comment about Sanchez' toughness is absurd. He might be the toughest Jets QB I have seen since Namath.

He gets pounded every game and keeps playing. How do you explain those 4th quarter comebacks. Meanwhile, QBs like Cutler get hit a few times and put the poncho on and don't return to games in the second half when the OL doesn't protect them.

8 of the last 9 division titles has worked out great for the Pats. 3 Super Bowl tiltles and 4 AFC Championships.

And what good does it do winning a Wild Card (not that the Pats ever play in one) and Division game if you never make it to the Super Bowl?

Actually, its 8 of the last 10 ( didn't win in 02 and 08) But come on. The last SB title was in 2004. That was 7 years ago. Since then all these division titles have gotten the Pats squat. So of those 8 division titles, the first 3 led to SB wins and the next five led to one more playoff win in five seasons (5) than the Jets have in the last two seasons and the same number of AFC Championship game appearances. The Jets have done about as much with two 6 seeds in 2 years as the Pats have done with a boatload of division titles and 1 and 2 seeds since 2004. The Pats are kind of like the Atlanta Braves of the NFL since 2004.

I'm not saying Big Arm = Good QB but, playing in the North East I'd limit my talent pool to QB's with Above average Arms.

Everything else being equal - and according to Rex it was, I'll take the bigger arm. According to Rex, what sold him on Sanchez was the fact that he was so popular, well liked and supported by so many players at his Pro-Day....

    BAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

I said it on Draft day and I still say it - Please never draft a QB with limited experience + Maybe slighhtly abover average arm + average Size for a North East Team....

Like Parcells says - Show me the QB who played a full compliment of College games and progressed each year - not a Panzy who played 16 games in the Sun.

People calling for Mcelroy. NFL Fans really are idiots. This happens in every NFL fan base, with only 2 to 3 QB's truly safe from it. Hell in Detroit people were calling for Stafford's head, and then he went off.

Same thing happened to Eli Manning in 2007--this is identical. My wife and in-laws are Giants fans. Oh yea then eli won a super bowl and they all look like idiots.

NO one should ever want to play in New york. All this gets magnified in New York. The guy has been to 2 AFC title games. It isn't like we're 3-12. Morons.

Getting pounded and rthen esponding with indecision isn't a good atrribute.

There are reasons to keep Sanchez but if a good college prospect is still around in round 2 or 3, I think the Jets would be wise to strongly consider it.

your Pats should pull that trigger first

your starting QB is 35, immobile and an injury waiting to happen

your primary backup is a JAG

and the BUST you drafted last year as the "future" is a ten cent brain probably substance abuser

Sanchez will be excelling for the next decade

Brady will be gone by 2013

actually without the use of cheating (since defensive wireless) the Scumbags have completed three full seasons without winning a single postseason contest

HAHAHA! Actually Mallet will probably turn out to be a very good QB. Hoyer is "ok" as a backup but I wouldn't be surprised if he's replaced by Mallet next year for the #2 spot. So even with Brady playing as well as he ever has, they ARE planning for the future. Brady has been stupdendous the last two years. Unless he has a serious injury, he's got at least 3 good years left. He'll be in New England long after Sanchez is shipped out.

The Patriots sort of had a similar situation when Drew Bledsoe was starting to decline.

Bledsoe probably helped save the Patriots franchise in NE along with Kraft and Parcells, he was a hell of a QB and helped get them to a SB in 1996. BUT by 2000 on he was becoming a real liability. Made stupid decisions, tons of INT's and turnovers, got sacked repeatedly and just wasn't the start QB he had been.

There was a ton of controversy in NE as a result. You wouldn't believe how hard some fans tried to make excuses for Bledsoe.

It was the coaching, the offensive line, the lack of suitable targets. Anything then realize that perhaps Bledsoe wasn't the "man" anymore

    Sound familiar?

Tebow has a .700 win record so hes way better then Sanchez, Trent dilfer won a superbowl so hes way better then Sanchez. In those 4 games Sanchez never once threw for over 200 yards. 196 186 180 and a pathetic 100, Sanchez is the next Aaron Rodgers obviously. Also to say Romo, Vick and Cam Newton are not better then Sanchez is the funniest thing I ever heard. I bet if Sanchez somehow has a 90+ qb rating next season and has a career season the Sanchez fanboys will be saying hes better then Aaron Rodgers and Brady.

Did you really just say that Tebow was a better QB than Sanchez? I don't have an extremely high opinion of Mark myself, but that's just fucking retarded times a billion.

As a small point of fact Tebow is 8-5 as a starter (.61 winning record). If you're stupid enough to use winning record to evaluate QBs he and Sanchez (.59, .60 with playoffs) are essentially identical.

Sarcasm? Your posts are hardly structured well enough to understand them as it is. Plus, stupid people tend to use sarcasm as an excuse for... well, stupidity.
