Yeah relax. Someone from the AFC black n blue will smash you guys in your own yard again. The Pats are soft on D, and very beatable...as the way below average fish n skins almost proved recently.

    Almost proved? LOL

Only 3 teams have beat the "very beatable" last place defense all year (maybe 4) That puts the TEAM at the #1 spot in the AFC, and at worst, #2. Pats could get beat at home in their 1st playoff game. The defense doesn't give anyone in NE a warm fuzzy feeling, but at least they'll have a chance to go out & prove themselves. A whole lot of other teams who will play their last game next week wish they could have another chance.

I love this team too much to "not care." I agree with RT and say that our game is the most key to our playoff determination. I also don't like the Hou/Ten matchup. Even though both lost to IND.

Kinda like burning the grass in Africa?

Yeah, I can see that and I'm hoping it doesn't come to having to burn the grass unless it's in a fukin bong

Sanchize0829, I respect your opinion on the dolphins players, and your pretty right for the most part, but as a dolphins fan I'll give you what I would say is a little more accurate breakdown of there players....

Matt Moore- Doing a good job moving the ball and not making mistakes. Has done a pretty good job at scoring touchdowns in the redzone. Throws a nice deep ball. Is usually good for 1 or 2 bad throws a game which can result in interceptions. Overall, playing above average.

Running Backs- Reggie Bush is having a great 2nd half of the year. Started off really slowly, along with our whole team, but is really coming on. Running hard inside and outside of the tackles. Daniel Thomas has ability but he hasn't been doing well lately. IF healthy he can be decent and always falls forward for the extra yard or 2.

Offensive Line- Really coming together. Long has had a rough year for his standards but is still tough to beat. Incognito is playing good. Pouncey is having a great rookie year. I think he's going to be good for a long time. Right said was a mess at the beginning of the year, Columbo is getting better. He's not good but he isn't as bad as he was the first 6 games. Overall our line has been playing quite well the last 6 weeks or so.

Wide Recievers- Obviously Marshall is a beast but he has had probably 8 touchdown drops on the year. An incredible number. And I am kind of getting sick of him the way you guys are with Holmes. I think your underrating our other recievers tho. Bess has been quiet but he's very reliable and I think with the right quarterback he could be a welker type. Very good Slot reciever. Hartline makes all the catches, can beat people deep, very reliable and is good at getting yards after the catch. Overall we have a pretty good group. Not great but very reliable and Hartline has really been playing well lately.

Defensive Line- Strongest and deepest unit on the team. Odrick is playing very good. And our whole line has really come together. Not many stars but all very good players. Solia is a monster in the middle. The Dline does a good job of stopping the run and getting a good push to collapse the pocket. Really came together the 2nd half of the year, along with our whole defense.

Linebackers- Dansby and Burnett have really gelled. They are doing a great job covering tight ends now, which is what they were brought here to do. Also doing a good job at stopping the run. They are athletic and good playmakers. Not dominant but very solid and again, good at covering tight ends. They have probably been a top 5 MLB Tandem in the nfl the last 8 weeks. Wake is very good but he isn't getting the help he needs on the opposide side to take pressure off him. But 1 on 1 he will still create problems. Jason Taylor is on his last leg but I'm guessing he will play you guys tough. Very smart player and is great at diagnosing screens which will probably come in handy against you guys. Overall a pretty darn good linebacking core.

Cornerbacks- Vontae Davis has been playing very well of late. Finally starting to play like he was last year. Becoming a dominant corner. Not there yet but he's coming along and is a good playmaker. Dont throw up a fade to his side because he will go up and get it just like a reciever. It's great to watch. He boxes out the reciever and goes up for it and usually comes down with it. Good ball skills. Sean Smith has been somewhat of a disapointment this year. Not playing bad but not playing very good. He was supposed to be a ball hawk type but he has the dropsies and struggles on quicker guys. He should go up against Burress. The rest of the corners aren't anything special. Will Allen is reliable but nothing great. Nolan Carrol struggles. Jimmy Wilson might have been a real steal in the draft. He keeps getting better and better. Nothing special now but soon he could be quite good.

Safties- Bell is a good tackler and reliable in coverage on a tight end. But he is getting old and starting to lose a step. Will probably really start to slow down soon I would think but as of now is still pretty good. The rest of our safties can be exposed. Haven't developed the way I hoped. Not our right bad like gibril wilson was, but not good either. Definately more of a liability than an asset.

Special Teams- Our punter might be the best in the NFL. Definately top 5. He single handedly won the game against you guys last year. I'm sure you remember it. Not often you can say that about a punter. Our kicker is good inside the 50's but is pretty unreliable outside of them. He has a strong leg but his accuracy isn't the greatest. Not bad, not great. Right around average. Coverage teams have actually been really good this year. It was a weakness for a long time but I think they finally shored it up. Our returner Clyde Gates is getting better every week. Has breakaway speed but not the greatest vision. But he is improving, almost broke 1 last week.

Overall- The past 8 weeks the dolphins have been playing great football. Yes Great. Our defense is playing like the top 5 unit I thought they would be coming into the year. And our offense under Moore is moving the ball and scoring touchdowns in the redzone. Our linebackers are playing great, along with the defensive line, Vontae Davis is playing very well. Our recievers are doing pretty good. Marshall has the dropsies but Hartline catches everything and is great at tapping the toes and also getting YAC. You can't put a linebacker on Bess and he is a very good route runner. Moore isn't making costly mistakes and he goes deep Alot. At least 5 to 10 long balls a game. Watch our for those. Has pretty good accuracy on them.

I honestly think we are going to win and it could be by alot. I saw this because our defense is playing very very good. And your offense is playing very very bad. Our offense is playing pretty good and your defense isn't as fearsome as years past. Definately weaknesses. I also think you guys might be a little demoralized and we are gonna want to finish you guys off. It could also be a close one but I think if anybody gets blown out it would be you guys. Just my opinion. Good luck on the game. It's the only game I've had to look forward to since week 5. May the best team win.

The Dolphins could absolutely blow the Jets out this Sunday.

    TROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jk....actually a pretty good write up. The only part I disagree with is your comment about our offense sucking. We have a TOP offense with a future hall of fame QB in Mark Sanchez, and the TOP NFL offensive coordinator in Mr. Brian Shottenhiemer.

If there's ANY WAY you guys could pry Shottenhiemer away from us I would be DEVESTATED!!! Miami would be set for years, and I think you should do it.

I have to agree. If we let Schotty go to Miami, it would change your franchise for years to come and the Jet Offense wouldn't be the same. I think if your organization really wants to hurt the Jets, there's no better way than to "steal" Brian "Genius" Schottenheimer away from us. If you need further proof, just look at the way Rex goes about praising Schottenheimer and Sanchez. You can't tell me Rex doesn't know what he's talking about..

I must have caught Davis on a bad game and Smith on a good game because Smith looked really good and Davis didn't look bad, but he didn't look that good. Thanks for the corrections though.

Yea Smith has his good days but for the most part he has been a slight dissapointment. Not a weakness but hasn't really turned into the player I hoped. Davis had a rough start along with everyone, and he also dealt with injuries, but he has really been playing good lately. He really hustles, and is good at stopping the run. Also, like I said, watch out for an endzone fade. He's great at boxing out and going up for the ball. Got an interception against Randy Moss his rookie year doing that. Has really good ups.

Our whole team has really turned things around. Gets me kinda excited for next year. Also, NO SHOTTY!!!!. If we even interview him I'll be pissed. Him and Rob Ryan. If we hired one of those guys I would really struggle to support them. How can I talk trash about rex if my coach is rob haha.

P.S. I'm glad that one poster was joking about the troll thing. I've tried to be very careful not to get that label and that's not why I'm here. I just like talking football with other fans, even rivals. It's also cool to get another teams perspective on my own. And I like reading what you guys have to say about your teams issues. Really is interesting. And trust me, I hate the Jets with a passion, but thats all part of the fun of being a fan. Again, Good Luck next week and if we lose I'll be here Monday to say good game, and dare I say, good luck in the playoffs (God I would hate it if that happened lol)

I most certainly wouldn't use the words "decent shot" to make the playoffs. That's a lot of "if's" for one weekend. If we beat the Dolphins, if SD beats the Raiders, if Baltimore beats the Bengals and IF the Chiefs beat the Broncos...the first and last ones scare the hell out of me. Miami is a division game, they've been playing better and I have ZERO...I say ZERO confidence in our offense. Denver has proven to have a guardian Angel hanging around and the Chiefs have proven to play as bad as, if not worse, than the Jets on offense this year...so...yeah...call me jaded if I say that it's a far better chance that the Jets are watching the playoffs from home this year.

BUT, I'll still be watching, praying and hoping...

From what I have seen from Reggie Bush is that he has become a much better North-South runner. Does he still cutback quite a bit? That would cause the Jets fits. Also, if I remember (we played you so long ago it seems) Fasano is your tight end? Do him and Moore seem to have some chemistry? As you must well know reading these boards, fast RBs and TEs kill us on defense.

I would rather lose next week rather than get in the playoffs by the skin of our teeth.Atleast if we lose we have hope of changing up the personnel. Though I would hate to lose to the Dolphins or see revis give up a play to Marshall.

Lets not talk crazy here! Vica Versa is more likely, still it will be a good game. The Dolphins would like to beat the Jets I am sure.

Jets pull it out 27-17 though.

Reggie Bush doesn't go crazy with the cutbacks but he still does them. If he sees something he'll go for it. But he has gotten alot better at just plowing ahead and breaking some arm tackles. He's good at doing a quick juke and going rather than reverse field. But I'm still learning his game. Matt Moore is getting to know Fasano pretty well. He throws down the middle alot and it's usually to him. He was injured last game, but I think he's going to be back and healthy. Fasano is pretty reliable, and a very good blocker.

But the biggest thing the Jets need to be prepared for is the long ball. It's so refreshing to see Moore just chuck it deep so much because that's been such a problem the last couple of years. He's also pretty darn accurate with it, and we have recievers with Marshall and Hartline that go up and get it. Again, trust me when I say this, expect at least 5 deep balls throughout the game. If not more. If we can connect on a couple of those we may be tough to beat.

I really don't know what happened to our team. As crazy as it sounds I just see so much talent in them. We have what should be a top 5 defense, and we have a pretty decent offense. Good running game, good recievers, a competent quarterback that is really playing good right now. I just don't understand how this team could ever start 0-7. And as bad as we were at that time, we're a million times better. Our whole team turned around. I really believe we have more talent than you guys. Or at least as much. Again, might sound crazy but it's just how I feel. Throw out the records (which I know is all that matters but I'm just trying to compare pure talent, and all of this can be debatable and this is just at the moment) we have the better offensive line, better running backs, better recievers, better quarterback, better defensive line, better linebackers, better safties, better punter. You guys have better Cornerbacks. Again, maybe thats just stupid because we are 5-10 but that's just what I see. Our guys are playing damn good right now while your whole team is struggling. They have the ability to play good but they just haven't. Kind of like us at the beginning of the year.

That giants game sapped my enthusiasm for the jets this season. I don't really care anymore. The jets suck we've been exposed this year.

You know what's going to happen... The offense is miraculously going to click on all cylinders and score 30+ points, leaving everyone to question whether we should let Shotty go or not.
