Yes, he also threw a pick, he was the only factor in that game that didn't help in the win.

What the hell? Im talking about people like you saying Sanchez was lights out and won the games on his back. He was average in those games plain and simple. You also said he was the only one in that game who was consistent? Which is simply not true. Just cause he has 6 good games in 52 games doesn't make him our franchise Qb. Its easy from watching him play to determine he simply does not get it and has regressed.

Mark "worst QB in the league" Sanchez is ranked 9th in yahoo fantasy. Yea he played terrible but the team around him is filled with holes, he's never had a real o.c. and is still in the running for the playoffs as well as one win away from
Averaging ten wins over his first three seasons. It's Christmas, everyone just calm down poor a scotch and see how next week plays out before we demand peoples heads

How has he regressed this season compared to his first two? He has more touchdowns and a higher completion percentage. He only has two more interceptions. He hasn't taken the big step like everyone thought, but regressed is incorrect.

Jets fans all want a perennial winner and the combo of Rex and Sanchez are the best chance they have had at that for a long time. The problem is in this media market and fanbase there is a 3 year window and then it is time to move on. This is a down year for the Jets in which so much has gone wrong and at worst they will finish .500. Not what any of us wanted but not the end of the world that is being painted here and in the media.

Between the crippling mistakes, the key injuries, and what have turned out to be poor personnel decisions being a winning team isn't the worst accomplishment in the world this year. Again, not what anyone wanted, but so is life in the world of professional sports.

All Sanchez has done is improve in any measurable way besides the eye test of some jaded fans and media folks. He came into the league so inexperienced that it isn't unreasonable to believe he will continue to make steady improvement for another 2-3 years before showing signs of leveling off. A youth movement is necessary over the next couple years on both sides of the ball but the holes on this team are not so large that good drafting and key (not necessarily flashy) free agent moves put the Jets right back in a position among the top teams in the league.

He has had his best year as a starter so how has he regressed? Our LB core got injuried and slow, our RT has been suspect, our safety play has been lower than average, our run game has gone away, DBrick has regressed, and we downgraded from Braylon to Plax. All problems with this team that you simply cannot blame on him.

Completely agree with this, to add, we have also lost our ground completely and that ability to stop teams running game. It was one thing we could rely on every year the past two season besides this one. That is a major factor in our game and one of the bigger reasons why we are 8-7.

This Guy(Sanchez) has done more with a Worse offensive line then last year. A Worse running game then last year. Worse Recievers yet he has still delivered time and time again everyone only brings up negatives

Again, Mark is not going anywhere, he will be here next season. So get the dump him now thing behind us, not going to happen.

Yet, the CS better allow the best players to play and if Mark gets out played by another QB on the roster, then he better be prepared to hold the clip board.

If he has to learn a new system because of a new OC, and plays the same as you seen this season, scared, will all of you who think he is the long term answer still feel the same way? Will you say give him another year to absorb the new system or will you have had enough?

One thing I don't want next season is for Mark to be handed the starters role, if he earns it, so be it, but he must earn it by becoming a solid NFL QB and not what we have seen this year !

I think Sanchez has two years left on his original contract? We should get a new OC and then make a decision after those 5. It gives him 2 years and if there isn't obvious improvement, then we make a decision on him. I think that is the best to keep this team competitive while still improving.

Yes, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Wes Welker and Randy Moss are nobodies.

I will agree the receiving core was good last year, but inconsistent from lack of chemistry and so on. This year though, Santonio has found a way to drop and or turnover the ball at the worst times. Keller is really starting to show that he sucks. Burress is only good in the red zone, he needs to shove off defenders to get any separation. Sanchez isn't amazing but he also has a horrible, horrible offensive line and you can see how shell shocked he is becoming, he is becoming more nervous about getting hit, because he has taken beatings almost every game this season. Come on dude, think.

first year qb's i'd want, how about ryan, cam newton or the kid in cinci.

i guess you haven't noticed but sanchez stats say he is a bottom 1/3 qb all three seasons and reallistically, thats exactly what he is. a 200 yds a game manager. the jets haven't ha much to crow about qb wise throughout the years, but that doesn't mean they have to settle for mediocre qbs either.

after three or four seasons, i'd say we've seen enough to know he'll never be a top ten qb. knowing that, i say try drafting another and hope we get it right.

qb driven league, we need a top tier qb if we expect to win a superbowl!

It's as easy as this guys. Sanchez had 12 TDs 20 INTs and we made the playoffs. The entire team carried Sanchez and got us there. Last year Sanchez picked up a bit more of the burden and with the help from the rest of the team we got into the playoffs with Sanchez going 17 TDs 13 INTs. This season the pressure has been put on Sanchez more than ever due to the lack of help from the rest of his team.

No one has stepped and been like "You know what Mark we got you on this one." Mark has had to try to win games all by himself with lack luster play calling and a horrendeous RT and a sub par OL compared to years past. Sanchez is not a Tom Brady, Aaron Roders, or Peyton Manning. It sucks but you know what? He shouldn't have to be. What third year QB has ever been on an elite level? Sanchez will always have this hate from all over the country and sadly within the fan base.

It's all about how he handles it and he's been doing a fine job. People want to jump on him for his body language at times but every QB does it. Did you guys not see Manning yesterday? The truth is this. Mark Sanchez has gotten better since last year. Heck with this offensive line he should haven't put up even worse numbers. He's been rattled this year, which has caused him to throw passes inaccurately and too soon, but what QB doesn't look average under constant pressure? Look at Tom Brady last year in the playoffs against us. He looked like an average QB and not the future hall of famer he is.

Sanchez has been sacked 10 more times than last year. Hurried and knocked down many more times than last year but yet he has thrown for 7 more TDs. His completion percentage and his QB rating have gone up as well. What else do you want from him? Mark has had to carry this team on his back several times this season, and yes he has failed at times, but if you expected a third year QB to lead his team to the Super Bowl by his play alone you are fucking insane.

Sanchez has had a solid year and will only continue to get better. His proper decision making has lacked at times but that is to be expected. Mark could throw for 32 TDs and 10 INTs and people would still give him shit. Like it or not Sanchez will be this teams QB for the next 5 plus years.

Please stopping making sense and adding some complexity and requiring people to actually think and watch more than the QB. I don't see why you don't understand that it is up to Sanchez to play at a Brady/P.Manning/Rodgers level every week.

Why can't Sanchez be elite like Eli Manning. I mean just look at the gem of a game he played yesterday? If only our QB could complete 33% of his passes and lead his team up and down the field like Eli did yesterday. And why can't Sanchez make a big play like Eli did on the that 99 yard TD???? Cruz and missed tackles had nothing to do with that play. It was all Elite Eli.

Jets fans are unbelievable and unbelievably ignorant.

If any Jets fan can't see the huge difference between this year's Jets and the Jets of the past two years, then follow a simpler sport, like baseball. Someone please name one aspect of the Jets team that is better this year than the last two years. The OL play has taken a giant stop backwards (but fans can't realize that is the most important key to any QBs success). The RBs are not as good as 09 and 10. The WRs were better the last two years also. The Jets receivers just don't get open. The defense has also played much worse. They have gone from one of best run stopping teams to middle of the pack. They have gone from a top 3-5 defense in points against to 22nd in the NFL. The safeties are a disgrace.

The special teams, which have been a perennial strength, have also been average to bad. Folk has been horrible over the 6 games (50%). Conley is terrible. There have been numerous turnovers in the return game. Even the kick coverage has not been as good.

Through all this, the 25 year old QB has accounted for 30+ touchdowns and has improved in every aspect of the game, from completion percentage to yards to scores. He has added to his impressive 4th quarter comeback numbers.

But the average Jets fan want to pin the blame for this mediocre season on this QB? Give me a break.

    Clueless.....
Shows either you don't understand football at all, or you have never seen either of those guys play.

And what weapons do we have exactly?

Is it our slow receivers? Or our Swiss cheese oline? Or our. On existent running game?
