Looking at the situations we were in the past two years, we weren't playoff teams then either. But yet we made it the AFC Championship game both times.

    SNY says

    Jets win

    Titans loss
    Bengals loss
    Raiders loss

    = Jets playoffs

Yeah this is going to be a miracle

What? The Jets were 11-5 last year. How is that not a playoff team?

Me either, but "fans" who actually say they want us to miss the playoffs are idiots.

Our run game is slightly above average at best.

Maybe but I still want us to get in and then take our chances. Take a look at the AFC every team has flaws. I realize the Jets do as well but you never know. Didn't Green Bay win it all last year as the #6 seed.

I empathize with your concerns, but why are Jets fans panicking? Will it be difficult to get in the playoffs? Sure. Is it statistically unlikely? Doubtful. With Oakland facing off against a decent division rival in San Diego, the Titans against a reeling Texans squad, and the Bengals (horrible SOV) against a Ravens team vying for a first-round bye, I actually like our odds.

How long have you have you followed this team ???????

The Fish will be licking there chops at the thought of putting the knife in our backs and making sure the Jets are at home this year watching the playoffs.....

Didn't like us going in to this Giants game and I don't like us going into this Miami game either....The fish will be sending the dogs after Mark all day...take it to the bank !!!!!

right, because the Fins are better than the Ravens, Texans or Chargers. the Jets would certainly prefer to be playing one of them rather than the Dolphins.

I never took you as an imbecile homer, but I suppose I was wrong.

still doesn't change the fact that the Fins are the worst team of the bunch and I'd rather play them than the Ravens, Texans or Chargers in a deciding game.

I'd like their chances a lot better if the Titans weren't playing the Texans next week. The Texans just lost to the Colts, they're starting a 3rd string QB and have been struggling lately.

But... it's exactly the reason why I like the Jets to beat the Texans if they do get in.

At least the Bengals game is now at 4:15. We will be watching the Jets game and scoreboard watch the Titans game. If everything goes rite at 1:00, the 4:00 games will be nuts. The Steelers game is also at 4:15 so the Ravens-Steelers will both be playing their all.

This team had its destiny in its own hands vs the eagles, then the giants at home and couldnt get a win. they dont even deserve this desperate hope thread.

Ive been hearing from Texans fans that they WANT the Jets in round 1. They believe we have the worst offense (clearly) and the fans at least, want to play to win on Sunday and eliminate the Titans. Its in Houston, and I think the Texans need to get things together reguardless. hopefully they play the Titans and beat em.

if Tennessee makes the playoffs they will play Houston round 1. The last thing the Texans want is to just let a team into the playoffs and then face them the next week, especially a division rival. The Texans want to eliminate the Titans to begin with because they are rival.
