The lack of timing and coordination on offense is mind-boggling. What do they work on in practice? The Patriots would never tolerate that kind of dysfunction. How many times was Keller either not turned around in time or not even looking for the football? At least 5 passes bounced off him today. Throwing to spots with no green jerseys within 20 yards or into triple coverage, at times it looked as though Sanchise was trying to complete passes to Giant players.
to be completely fair, if they jets had run the ball 60 times and lost we would all be here bitching they dont pass the ball enough. hell if they were dead even people would be bitching that they should do this or that more.
i have to say they knew the giants secondary was very suspect. so they probably planned to throw alot. then we realized that sanchez gets 9 balls tipped, makes poor decisions with the ball and cant get the ball down the field and the game was over and we lost. i dont blame them for throwing the ball alot, the giants pass defense is hot garbage, its just that our lazy receivers and half retarded qb are worse.
I don't know if Jets would have lost with 60 run plays in the first place. Like I said, Giants D is surprisingly soft right up the middle. They didn't seem to bother even raising a finger stopping the run up through A gap all day. On top of that, at least that fits with Ground-and-Pound theme, which I actually endorse whole-heartedly.
Schotty needs to go. You don't like to blame losses on just one person because Football is a team game, but Schotty has been a huge part of the problem in at least 5 of our losses.
Despite all the poor performances and "choking", with 5:48 to go, we had the ball on the 50, first and ten, and we were in the position to pound the ball and win the game and WE DIDN'T RUN THE BALL ONCE
It was important for the Jets to get Sanchez sacked some more. he hasn't taken enough hard hits yet this season. Obviously Schotty realized after the Jets couldn't keep the Eagles off of Sanchez that if he just called oh, 64 pass plays or so, the Giants would hit Sanchez enough to toughen him up, or whatever. Seriously, at this point it's pretty obvious that Schotty is either intentionally or unintentionally sabotaging the offense. If he makes Sanchez look really bad next week maybe Sanchez will get fired this off-season instead of Schotty.
When they let Sanchez throw y'all bitch and moan. When they handcuff Sanchez y'all bitch and moan. You guys will NEVER be satisfied and I'm convinced you guys don't know what you want. Am I defending schotty's playcalls? No. But you guys want Sanchez to throw more and they put the game in his hands and he failed. Now you still blame schotty.
Who has ever said, "Throw more and put the ball is Sanchez' hands?" 99% of Jets fans seem to preach run first. Maybe people here have said that. I've missed it.
ya know, u keep sayin that but you sound like a fuckin asshole. It is the fuckin execution. Schotty aint great- no uestion but you make it sound like its not the execution. Its 80% execution. And it starts with the fact that our QB absolutely sucks. Tanny and fat Rex are two giant dildos and this team sucks.
1. Maybe it is because I am a fucking asshole. 2. Giants had a huge vagina up in the middle all day. So you throw 3 straight passes, especially when the defense is expecting pass. Right? Yep. That's execution problem all right. 3. Who played well under Schottenheimer's guidance? Can you name one?
Play calling was suspect in the 2nd half and is curious (to say the least) oftentimes under Schotty. But here's the rub, the Jets best player makers, the "stars" that are supposed to rise to the occasion and make plays that you need to win the game (Santonio, Plax, Sanchez, Keller, LT, and Greene) all turned in stinkers the past 2 weeks. Some worse than others, but none rose to the occasion and made the game-changing play (positive play that is). That's been the problem with the team all year. The only decisive wins the team has had were against a rookie QB (Jags) and a backup (Chiefs) who had about a combined 5 NFL sarts between them. The defense is much the same. With the exception of Revis and Harris, there's a workmanlike D line, a slow, non- instinctual LB corps that cannot generate consistent pressure even when rushing 5-6, an above average (nothing more, nothing less) 2nd corner, and a pair of safeties that are best described as the worst starting tandem in the NFL. Bottom line: Most of the guys who are paid as playmakers aren't-- they're just serviceable starters plugging along. And when they're called on to take on more, for a big win, they're not up to the task.
No. Dustin Keller, one in the grill, one in the ear hole, one in the hands, along with Sourtoneeeo, ruined it.
Play calling was suspect in the second half, but given the first half performance kby the alleged skill players, Schotty isn't at fault
