Got back from the game listening to the radio and couldn't believe that. @ the game we were screaming at how could we have 2 backs over 4ypc (LT had 5+ypc) and they still have LESS THAN 20 CARRIES BETWEEN THEM!!!??? How the FUCK is that Possible!!!????
Brian Schottenheimer is a genius. He's a great offensive mind and is coveted by many teams in the NFL for a HC position. In 6 years, what other OC has had this team's offense running as well as its been running this season? Brian Schottenheimer is a genius.. Brian Schottenheimer is a genius.. Brian Schottenheimer is a genius.........
It was amazing playcalls!! Come out of the half and throw 3 straight times they didn't see it coming.
It does not take a genius to realize that when you have a clueless turnover prone QB who plays like a three foot midget, it may not be a good idea to execute (lol) 64 passing plays.
Can't decide where I'd rather Schottenheimer at this point, he's doing wonders with the Jets offense, but he can completely sabotage an up and coming Dolphins team.
If they executed 'em we would have won. What happened toSanchez's long arms? Has he ever heard the term "passing lane"? He actually looked retarded out there.
At 6'-2", can he even SEE the passing lane or does he simply throw to a spot and pray somebody is there on his team to catch it. He always seems to have trouble looking down field and since he's not Drew Brees, his height might be another issue. He certainly has alot of passes knocked down at the LOS and that could be because of the flat trajectory alot of his passes take.
I'd like to see what the supporters have to say defending Schottenheimer. The evidence supporting his faults is insurmountable. Run the ball. Hilarious... our reliance on play action when we never ran the ball.
If Rex keeps defending him, then Rex should be fired. As a defensive guy, the way Schotty calls and ruins games should drive Rex nuts. Since it appears that it does not, maybe he is just as bad.
After the Philly debacle Shotty was asked why he abandoned the run and put the ball in Mark's knowing Mark is NOT an 'air it out QB'. Shotty had a point when he said the game dictated airing it out when Philly ran up the score 28-0 after the first 30 seconds of play. Fair enough. But what about the fucking Giants game???????????????? My GOD fire this bum.
I cannot believe Sanchez is 6'2". He does not look it and certainly does not play like it. A shrimp like Doug Flutie had less trouble throwing over the D-Line than Sanchez does. Must be a combination of a bad release, telegraphing passes and not having the sixth sense to move around in the pocket with precision. Today he looked like he never even read a playbook in his life. His rapid demise is very alarming.
I think the main reason is we call so many short passes which require quick throws and fast throws. Its one quick read and the d line can see and jump. If he made progressions, it wouldnt let d linemen read his eye and he would be able to throw before they could jump in his lanes.
"Shotty had a point when he said the game dictated airing it out when Philly ran up the score 28-0 after the first 30 seconds of play. Fair enough. But what about the fucking Giants game????????????????" Excellent point. A three point game at the half and you put the ball up 35-40 times in the 2nd half? You pound the ball on the ground (3 yards and a cloud of dust style), keep it close and have your defense make the big play to give you a chance to win in the end. I honestly do not know what this coaching staff was thinking today. Honestly looked like the fix was in and they tanked the game on purpose.
I bet it does but as pointed out many times, Rex will not throw anyone under the bus in front of the media. Behind close doors, especially now, the plot to get rid of Schotty is in place. The Moore praise weeks ago is an indication of it.
"I think the main reason is we call so many short passes which require quick throws and fast throws. Its one quick read and the d line can see and jump." Sounds to me like they do not have confidence in him throwing the ball downfield. If that is the case, then is he really worth having as a QB?
I think it is mainly because we dont have the O line to sustain blocking for long passes. I mean we threw so many deep passes to Braylon last year, so I don't think it is a lack of trust. This is more we dont have O line, or the wide receivers to do it. If we had lack of trust in deep passes, then we would have never thrown them last year.
