Call Amberlamps... My cousin is a Gints fan and we go back and forth all the time about this. We think the media and fans hype this up more than it needs to be. The Giants have been around longer and have 2 more SB's than the Jets but he recognizes that the Giants have been irrelevant since the SB vs the Pats. He, as well as I, was disappointed that they lost to the Redskins. It would have made the Jets winning this weekend less significant, since a win against Dallas next week puts the Ginst in the PO's. Jets need both these games now.
Giants starting to talk back. Nicks on if Revis is the best corner in the NFL" (pause)....he's decent" Cruz on Revis "No one is afraid of him anymore" Manningham on corners "It's more the scheme"
Ditto. I feel the same exact way. Its the 2 NFL teams I hate the most. I don't expect a Super Bowl, just win these 2 and whatever after that. Of course, I say that now. We could be going to Houston and then Pats.
Giants fans are crying about their schedule. Yet the Jets had one of the toughest schedules going into the season. In fact jets opponents win loss up to this week are 83/85 and the Giants opponents win loss are at 91/77. And that is only because the packers went 13-1 and because the niners went 11-3 (with the easiest schedule). what a joke.
I know... And much is made over the fact that the Jets only beat one team w/a winning record. Well, the Giants only beat 2, and that's because they caught the Pats in a down week.
We had three road games in a row at Oakland, Baltimore and New England early on. It's what you do over 16 games, not when or why but how many.
Giant fans also cry when the heated seats on the Volvo don't get instantly warm when they pull out of their driveways in Summit, and then cry again when they arrive at the stadium for brunch and discover that the toasted organic pecans have come off their baked raw milk Brie.
When did he make the decision to become transgendered? I wish more VaGiant fans would be able to take the brave step that (s)he did.
Our schedule has sucked balls. Three tough road games in a row. Playing the Pats on SNF, then having to travel to Denver for TNF Playing the Giants @ home Giants fans need to STFU on this one. They get an extra home game for chrissakes!
Speak for yourself. I was miserable after the four AFC Championship Game losses I've watched. I smell a troll. Does RV's IP originate from Danvers, Mass? Charlestown? or Springfield, the hometown of Peetah King?
They always seem to catch breaks with the schedule, like playing "at" Miami in London and of course the Saints home opener in the Meadowlands, which was officially a road game.
In 2005 the Giants were awarded an extra home game b/c the Saints couldn't play in NO. They got to play a "road" game in London in 2007 so they only had 7 true road games Last year when the Minnesota roof colapsed they moved the game to detroit so again they only had 7 road games. In 3 seasons since 2005 the Giants have only played 7 road games. Giant fans should never whine about the schedule.
Forgot about this one, once again right place/right time for the G-men. And they still missed the playoffs.
I don't hate the Giants but I am starting to get sick of this "All Mighty Attitude" like they think they're better than the Jets. Give me a break, did you win the Super Bowl last year? Did you even make it to the playoffs last year? Shut up and sit down. Only teams that can say they're better then everyone else are the Packers and Steelers. Every other team watched the show on their fat asses, even the Jets. And all you righteous Pats fans can shut the f*&k up too.
I find that most of my problems with Giants fans starts from their inability to detect my hyperbole. When I start talking about how we're going to the Super Bowl after beating the Jaguars and how Sanchez is elite after he throws for 150 yds and 1 TD, they take it way too seriously.
Are some on this thread insinuating that Eli's a pussy? He may be a goofy bastard, but he's a tough goofy bastard. And he's got a ring...in the greatest Super Bowl in which the Jets didn't play. Hard to hate on the Giants. Giant fans are another story.
That wasn't the greatest SB, for 3 qtrs it was a snoozefest. There have been much better SBs including the Giants over Buffalo in XXV. The Giants-Pats SB was one of the best endings.
