I am hoping to get a gauge of what people on this board think. Sanchez is currently only 25 years old, and has already made it to 2 AFC Championship games. He has shown some progression, and could very well turn into a solid NFL QB. Will he be elite, or is he a compliment to a team? Luck looks like the next coming of Peyton Manning. Luck will be 23 at the start of next season. Will he be elite? Assumptions: Both will play for at least the next 10 years. Both will have a good OC Both will have a good run game Both will have a good OL Both will benefit from a good D. Neither will miss any game time due to injury. What I am curious about is what people would do given the option?
^ Give me a scenario how the Jets could afford to trade up 20+ spots. I'll give you some time to think about it before I close this useless thread.
It's not a realistic scenario and that's not what he's looking for, I think it's more to gauge the boards confidence in Sanchez and how they feel about Luck being NFL ready... I think.
Luck will be NFL ready, but talking about trading up for Luck is just insane. There is a better way to "gauge" TGG poster's confidence in Sanchez then starting this thread.
Would I trade 3 first round picks and 2 second round picks, because that is easily the cost in today's NFL to move up that many spots for a guy who fills a position we have already spent too many first round picks on, for a guy who has never taken an NFL snap? C'mon, son.
