I love this man as our coach so much "Well yeah, that's the old saying 'talk is cheap, money buys whiskey' I understand that. And that's the truth but I don't care about Tom Coughlin or anybody else. I know what I believe and I don't care of it's acceptable and everybody -- I really don't care. I'm worried about my opinion, this is how I feel and quite honestly I could care less what anybody thinks." -- Ryan, in response to Coughlin's comments, via The Star-Ledger » “They’re going to need a hell of a lot more than this game to make that happen." -- Giants running back Brandon Jacobs, on who owns New York, via the New York Daily News » “I definitely want to get in the end zone. Once, maybe twice, maybe three or four ... . I’m going to try to play lights-out football. My goal is to go out and play the best game that I’ve played to this date for the season." -- Jets WR Plaxico Burress, via the New York Daily News » “I think they’re trying to put something in people that may not be there. Sometimes I say things like, ‘Man, maybe this won’t happen, but I’m going to make myself believe it.’ (Ryan's) trying to put something in people’s minds that might not really be there.” -- Jacobs » “Somebody’s going to wake up with a bittersweet Christmas. And it’s not going to be me.” -- Burress » "They’ve given up big plays. They are poor tackling guys. We know plays can be made over their head, we’ve just got to be willing to take advantage of them and make them count." -- Jets WR Santonio Holmes, via The Star Ledger » “Our game is played on the field. It’s not played in the locker room during media time.” -- Giants defensive tackle Chris Canty » "He's decent." -- Giants WR Hakeem Nicks, on Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis » "Teams aren’t really scared (of Revis) anymore. He’s got to earn his money this year. Teams aren’t really backing down. I feel like we’re going to do the same thing. We’re going to go out. Until he physically stops us we’re going to throw the ball on him." -- Giants WR Victor Cruz » "I pretty much don't like anybody." -- Jets special teams coach Mike Westoff, via the New York Daily News http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000...giants-kick-verbal-sparring-into-another-gear
Revis got lit up by STEVIE JOHNSON. BUT, don't poke the bear. Nicks can't catch, and Salsa man needs to slow his role and shut his mouth.
Just because Nicks dropped one pass does not mean he cant catch. The guy is an elite WR and hes leaps and bounds better than anything we have rite now. This is going to be a tough game for our defensive secondary if Manning is somewhat on point. I'm more scared of Victor Cruz on Cromartie than anything. Hes a quick shifty little guy that creates good separation and is quick in and out of his cuts. Hopefully we get the "good" Cromartie on Saturday or Eli will have a field day.
People picked at Braylon for his hands, and this guy should be no different. It isn't about this past Sunday, Nicks makes some plays, but he's got some stone hands at times.. Elite WR? NO. Maybe in the future, but not now. And yes, Cruz basically has a job because of our preseason game last year, he went off. Cro has been suspect all season and Cruz scares me too, he's had a good year.
Geezus. That's probable the worst Rex Ryan quote I've ever read. Rex? Fumbling for words? That's almost approaching Billy Madison territory.
I agree. I hitnk Manning will easily have 250yds and prolly 2-3 TDs against us. Im sure of it. Hopefully we can score against their horrible defense
Ha, dude, the man is borderline retarded. Every time hes in front of a mic he stumbles for words and fills in the dead air with ummms or ya knows or whatevers. Speaking is not his strong suit
No joke, Nicks and Cruz need to recognize who they are talking about. Revis is not a slouch. He is going to BLANKET whoever he covers on Saturday.
it happens every year, some douchebag asshole receiver thinks they are hot shit so they talk about how Revis isn't good. Ochocinco, Moss and Jason Hill have all done it. I am probably missing someone, but talking trash about Revis just makes him even more pumped up. Let Eli throw the ball at Revis, and he will be doing the salsa dance in the endzone.
Sunday, I am a Rex fan, but if I were to describe the vast majority of the man's pressers, it would be 'fumbling for words.' He is very conscious of what he is not supposed to say. Almost too conscious. Watch the last five Mike Westhoff pressers. He can teach you about football on accident. And he will enthrall you in the process.
