Our QB sucks. Our Oline sucks. Greene is not the answer at RB. Keller has regressed. Our classless WRs are old and slow.

We can't rush the passer. We can't stop the run or mobile QBs. Bart Scott is worthless. Our safeties suck and can't tackle or cover the TE. Cro sucks

We can't hold onto the ball on kickoffs or punts. Our punter sucks.

We have a shit offensive coordinator. Our defensive coordinator sucks. And Rex is nothing but a used car salesman who can't motivate his team.

If all of these things are true, how is this team 8-6 and how is it possible that we have a shot at the playoffs? We should be 3-11.

Before shouting from the rooftops about how and why the Jets suck and playing armchair GM proposing a myriad of changes to the team, consider that maybe we don't suck as much as you think right now and that this team is pretty good as is. Maybe you're just angry that we lost a game. Let it go.

look up the word mediocre . we can't hang in there with the elite teams, and it's 50/50 against other mediocre teams. if we miraculously make the playoffs, we are one and done. same for the giants.

Well i have to agree with you that many people here just hate/cry too much

but if you look at our wins, well, its not against impressive teams either
(Cowboys, Jaguars, Dolphins, Chargers, Bills, Bills, Redskins and Chiefs)

Were still in the playoff hunt, don't count the Jets out, you prob counted them out after 45-3, I sure as hell ain't giving up on this team

we surely won't see a team like the Eagles anymore this season, there speed was just too much for the Jets, we need some young blood in the LB / S positions that's a confirmation

When haven't we sucked? We sucked in 09, we sucked last year and we suck this year.

The only difference between us and the rest of the league is that when we are sucking the most, we actually have the heart to say, "you know what, I don't want to suck anymore" and we put together a stretch of 3-4 games that we physically punish the other teams. It's not because we have more talent but because we have a head coach that is the best when his team is on the verge of collapse.

Rex will have this team ready for Saturday and if the past is any indication, we will win the next 2 games and make a run in the playoffs off of pure adrenalin and determination.

All I know is that this team never quits and as a fan, thats really the most you can ask for.

The Jets don't suck, but they sure are mediocre. 8-6 with one win over a team with a winning record (also 8-6). They are average to slightly above average.

The dude isn't whining. Apparently some of you didn't read lol.

But yes, IMO it's a domino effect. The O-line sucks then Sanchez sucks, then the defense gets tired.

Rex can no longer rely on his scheme to shutout defenses, we absolutely need to get more talent in the line-backing core and S positions

It just amazes me that we didn't even think about drafting Brooks Reed and he's having a decent rookie year.

    Losing Bryan Thomas hurt too

We can't just seem to put it all together.

It's the same old song and dance after every loss. Our QB sucks, OC sucks, OL sucks, everyone except Revis sucks.

The cowboys are 8-6 and atop the NFC east

The Chargers jsut dismantled the Ravens

The Chiefs beat the undefeated Packers.

The Skins knocked the 7-7 Giants out of he AFC east lead.

Its Parity that makes it seem like things are so close yet so far away in terms of the playoffs or a championship for us. Its game planing or execution that allows teams to win games the should be out of reach or lose to teams that should seemly not touch them.

Our Oline blocked well against the Chiefs ferice pass rush. They were pitful against the Eagles. We also commited too many costly turnovers. That about adds up to a good vs bad game for us.

The Jets are 8-6 because their overall talent and coaching dictates a slightly above average level of production during the regular season.

They have a QB who can spark in desperate situations, when their average OC can call a desperately innovative gameplan, an above average runningback corps that on occasion can overachieve, an offensive line with two premiere players, two above average guards, and a weak link on the edge that is far too easy to exploit. And a set of receivers who can be explosive if their egos can allow them to take the back seat for a game our two, complimented by some surprising role players in the depth dept, and one decent TE, with some one-dimensional backups behind him.

On defense, they have a slow but strong defensive line that can dominate power backs, but are exposed against the better breed of speed back, and gets minimal penetration on passing downs. A linebacking corps that can rush the middle, stop runs up the middle, but is without answers for passing between the hashes and cannot stop an outside run for less than a dime. And cannot beat a superior protection scheme. A secondary that has a very good young slot man and one of the best outside corners the game has ever seen, but a complimentary outside corner who is nearly brain dead and a cadre of safeties who are a combination of slow and unathletic, and do not compliment the corners and LBs much at all outside of intelligence.

All in all, a motley crew that may have enough to get far in the playoffs with superior coaching, and some miracles.

Also, they have a nice blend of STs talent and the best STs coach in the league, which helps mask the deficiencies of the other two squads on a good day, but not often enough for my taste anymore.

This team is above average in overall talent, and the regular season record reflects it. But their post season experience and pressure play in big moments (in some cases) gives them an edge that you cannot ignore.

Pray for a regular season miracle, because I think we're going to need one.

Tonight the 49ers and Steelers will play a mans game.
Sanchez and Rex are not ready for these yet.

I definitely thought this year was going to be the one for the Jets.

exactly. Our problems this year are mostly with the Oline. Not enough sustained drives and the running game never got going. The defense is always on the field, and it has no pass rush
