.....we got blown on by the Eggles due to our own fuck ups.

    Why?

Because this GUARANTEES us a victory over the Texans and a solid run in the 2011/2012 playoffs, where ANYTHING (see GB game) can happen.

The only thing WORSE than today's outcome would be to beat the Eggles by a hair, then puff out our wings and lose the last two games, missing the playoffs all together.

The beat down today virtually guarantees our own beat down of the g-girls and fish. our boys in green, our coaches in green, our fans in green are fucking pissed off. hate to be the g-girls in 6 days from tonight.

I have NO PROBLEM with today's outcome. It becomes our diving board into the AFC Championship game which this time, we will win.

    And then....

    Jets 31
    GB 27

    good night, sleep tight.

I'm usually Mr. Positive, but god almighty, that is some ridiculous shit right there after having witnessed what we just did.

The Jets are not a good football team right now. Can they still go on a run? Sure, but a lot of things will have to improve and honestly, I just don't see it. I'm just trying to be a realist here. Of course, just get in and anything can happen. But I really haven't seen anything from this team that would tell me they can make a run at a Super Bowl.

Although this is crazy as hell. I do kinda agree, as I really didnt want us going into the playoffs off a 8 game win streak.

This loss lets them know that they still need to work hard and have a lot to improve on

look....the undefeated, almighty Pack just got waxed by a team that just got waxed by the NY Football Jets.

We still are driving this boat.

And yes, we played flat today and made several several several costly mistakes that quickly led to a blowout.

Right now we have 53 scared Jets players looking for a leader, and that man is Rex.

If we scored 3 TD's in the last 5 mins to win like at the 'Skins, there aint a player on the team that would listen to Rex, Pettin, Shotty, or Moore during our prep for the last 2 games. But now, they are ALL EARS.

Believe me.....A Rex Ryan team will show up Christmas Eve and WAX THE FUCK out of whoever takes the field. Far, far more than if we eked out a 4th qtr win today.

I like that take. This guy realizes that the fan base labels this team a fraud after every loss and then gain confidence after wins lol.......... Were not dead after this loss. The season is not over.

After 45-3 last year nobody thought the NYJ could go up to Foxboro and get it done and they did. They won @PIT and then lost @PIT. Teams can win rematches! Who'da thunk?

It's not meds that has me thinking this, it human nature.

We still own the 6th seed.

We still must win the last two games.

Nothing, and I mean NOTHING guarantees we show up to take care of business like losing the way we did today.

All 53 players will experience a Rex Ryan like they NEVER want to experience him again.

    Victory is ours.

For the record, keep me out of the 'fan base' label. I did warn everybody here - you should be able to find where I said it will take a good win against legitimate teams like Eagles and Giants to start believing, even after the wake of 3 win streak. Jets then laid a giant goose egg right there - showing what kind of fraud they are. I was hoping this offense was turning the corner. I was hoping the defense was playing at a higher level than I thought they could be playing. All of that stuff went out of the window.

Obviously, if Jets win next week, (that's not a guarantee, based on today's OL play) and the next, they will be in playoff with 6th seed. Then what? With this slow-as-snail LBs, how far do you think they go? I seriously doubt if Jets can go any further than 1st round exit. Mark my words on this one. This defense needs a lot of young blood. Offense is not bailing them out, so there goes the entire optimism.

One thing I hate are the "We'll win because the teams we'll play later lost to inferior teams earlier in the season and we beat those inferior teams" arguments.

This team sucks, played like shit in many facets of the game yesterday and does not deserve to make the playoffs. Period.

    Actually no.

Last year, the whole season the Jets played better football including the D, the OL and the QB.... I had faith last year and completely understood the NE debacle with Leonhard out after a week of practice....

This year is not the same at all. This year has little highlights and hope at all - last year at this time you would have had a whole video of exciting jets Football...

I tend to agree with the "played like shit in many facets of the game yesterday" assessment, but stating that this team doesn't belong in the playoffs is off-base.

If not the Jets, than who? Are they an AFC Powerhouse. Absolutely not. But should the Titans get in after losing to the Colts? How about the mighty Bengals, Chargers, Raiders or Chiefs?

Sure, the Jets played better as a whole last year. But remember, it took 4 -- count them 4 -- wins in the last minute of the game to get to 9-2. Then they played like garbage in the last 5 games, with the exception of the Pittsburgh game (one they almost blew).
