Looks to me he had himself a pretty solid game. I couldn't catch the game, but I watched the highlights. He seemed to make some very good throws today considering he was getting slammed to the turf constantly. I saw the first interception that went through the hands of Holmes. What was the 2nd interception like? They didn't show it on the highlights. Was it Mark's fault? Did he not see the guy? or did he throw it into triple coverage?
He rattles easily when he has a defensive lineman lining up next to him in the backfield. I have to remember to dredge up the Sanchez Flaws thread and add that in: "when a defensive lineman is part of the offensive formation Sanchez becomes rattled and starts throwing the ball too quickly."
Two tipped picks. If those turnovers don't happen it's a MUCH different ball game. Baltimore all over again
I thought he was his usual good but inconsistent self. There were some high points (awesome pass to Holmes for the TD) and some low points (yet another lost fumble and some inaccurate passes). That said, it's really hard to judge Mark's performance based on the absolutely horrid play of the Oline today. No QB is going to function well under those circumstances.
That fumble was atrocious, he had no chance of getting the first he should have just tucked it away. Instead he reached out and lost the ball. He was under pressure all game
Thanks for answering the question. Those pics really can't even be blamed on Sanchez. Tipped pics never can be blamed on the QB. If Holmes followed the ball in his eyes, that first pic doesn't happen.
Holmes tip = Int 1 Holmes tip = Int 2 The announcer kept saying all game that Sanchez kept throwing the ball too quickly but I disagree. If the receiver has both hands on the ball soon after he turns around, he should hang onto it for a reception.
Five yard pass to Santonio, he was hit and didnt catch the ball, it flew up in the air and was picked by a linebacker... IMO it was catchable but I guess it also could be said that it shouldnt have been thrown there. I thought he played as well as someone who was hit as many times as he was could possibly play. Oh, and WTF was that call on 3rd and two when Sanchez fumbled... Possibly one of the worst play calls Ive seen in a while, assuming it was a designed play...
Pretty sure either he or LT screwed up, it was supposed to be a run right and LT went left (or it was supposed to be a run left and Sanchez went right). Either way, just miscommunication, not a bad play call.
I'm a big Sanchez supporter and I think he's the guy to take this team to a Super Bowl. That said, I think he got rattled today and began making quick throws when if he'd waited a split-second longer he'd have completed the pass. It reminded me a lot of the Baltimore game. The difference this time around was that the Jets weren't asking him to pass the ball 30+ times with poor protection. They've learned a little about what having Sanchez drop back with a defender on him every other throw means and it's not good.
Like someone already said it was baltimore all over again Sanchez did a decent game, made some nice throws like the first TD and that dustin keller connection for 40yds, both interceptions were tipped passes and i just didnt feel like any of them were his mistake. He was also almost killed thanks to the beast of a player that is wayne hunter But after it all i still think that this loss is totally on holmes, i mean, even after his first screw up we recovered a fumble close to the redzone, that was the chance to get right back into the game and santonio hands the ball to the eagles
BTW, the Giant's pass rush is in the same league as the Eagles. If the Jets don't fix the Hunter problem by next week they're going to get killed by the Giants also. Seriously.
Good question. I couldn't tell if someone blew an assignment or it was a called QB scramble. Either way it was totally awkward looking.
It was a busted play. I was sitting in the endzone sec that play happened. If lt runs the right audible that's a first down. Sent from my SGH-T589 using Tapatalk
i saw it at first on the normal broadcast view and i was thinking it was a horribly called qb draw...the behind the play view made it seem like sanchez was definitely expecting tomlinson to be there for the hand off. also, the following shot on the sideline showed tomlinson saying something to moore. i'm thinking that was a bad mix up
