You don't pass up one of the premier players in this draft, especially with LT on his last legs, McKnight being a situstional p[layer and Greene isgood, but not great.

IMO, Richardson isn't going to be available when the Jet's are OTC next April, so it's a moot point.

FWIW, if Trent Richardson was available, he would probably be the BPA and would make the Jet's running game one of the NFL's best. So I would have no isuue with drafting TR!!!!

You don't pass up one of the premier players in this draft, especially with LT on his last legs, McKnight being a situational player and Greene is good, but not great.

Interestign seris of posts here lol.

Here's the thing with Mambo, you keep saying Ingrham fell so we may have a shot. He fell for a reason. He's a compelte back but not a great one. If Richardson is seen as great he'll be gone in the top ten. If he's seen as good and is still around at 16 to 20, I don't want any part of it. Unless your a true game changer of a back we do not need one.

I'd have no problem taking Richardson in the first round. Would also really like Lamar Miller in the 2nd. I got to UM and have seen him every game for the last 2 years; Miller is the real deal.

This is the guy the Jets should target if they are going to draft a RB. Problem is, no way he makes it out of the late 1st/early 2nd round.

In my opinion, he is a better pro prospect than Richardson. Miller has elite speed; we're talking in the 4.3s in the 40. I would not be upset one bit if he were drafted by the Jets, but the problem is that this team has more pressing needs right now.

If we're picking around 25, I wouldn't be opposed to taking Miller at all. He's the real deal.

Ideally, we could move back 10 spots, pick up a 3rd, and take Miller.

    1) Miller RB
    2) Curry OLB
    3) Lester FS
    4) Broyles/OL

Would be a really nice draft IMO.

Depedning on FA it would be a bit more than nice. Its a much in the first 3 rounds ATM and with the tealent at the top end I would love to get one in the first.

Montee Ball would be a nice option as well he knows how to find the end zone 5'11" 236lbs.... He is big enough to wear down defenses

Ball's a good mid round option. He's big with a nose for the end zone, but lacks the speed to be elite.

Ball isn't big. He's 5'10-5'11 at around 210 pounds. I'd like to see him in a tandem with Greene.

What do we know about Powell are the pro level? About as much as we knew about Greene at this point in his rookie season.

Assuming the Jets make the post season, I think we'll know much more about what we need at the position. They are saving his legs for a Super Bowl run.

Okay I got his weight from cnnsi.com and it said 236lbs and espn.com said 210lbs so one of them is incorrect probably cnnsi, he doesnt look 236lbs. But he would pair up nice with Greene and McKnight.

I like Ball, I watched a couple of his games this year and he seems to be a good between the tackles runner. Also was the workhorse so he proved durable. He would be a great adition

I say we bring LT back one more year and then draft 1st round in the following year for another guy who can pound the ball

Although I wish this was the case i doubt they give the ball to Powell unless one of our 3 rbs get injured. I just don't see Rex giving the ball to an unproven rookie with our season on the line

He never has, Greene only got in after his first fumble once TJ got hurt. If he gets anyting it will be grabage time unless LT or Greene goes down.

he lost around 25lbs...he still has his power though which is good and has added some agility better quickness.

Also Miller is good but it's said he'll likely get surgery on his shoulder.

Of course you can, we have needs and those RT, Safety, I hope MT does not give away any picks and uses this years draft to plug in some holes and add depth.

Time to get younger players in the fold, holding on to LT just pushes back the progress of powell or anyone we draft.
