LMAO! he has a computer sitting right next to him. why do you need the producers to get the information?
every time I tune in today he's talking about the hit by James Harrison. Who cares?? It's NY sports radio. 6 hours of james harrison tawwk! and apparently rob gronkowski doesn't have a name. his name is 'Mista tight end'
What?! When Incarcerated Bob asked Fatty about Ronnie Brown and his DWIs, Fatty said "dat I only covah new yawk spawts."
Reminds me of the clip from last year. Francesa loves to destroy his staff on the air. Must be a real blast to work with.
All good stuff to say about Sanchez. At the end Kay and Lagreca asked him who had more fun as NYC athletes, him or Jeter. Joe was diplomatic.
Most of the time, I don't mind Joe & Evan; but yesterday (?I think it was yesterday), while filling in for tank, they had a segment in which they interviewed...Daniel Murphy.
Every time I turn on Joe & Evan they're whining about the Mets. It could be January with three feet of snow on the ground and they're whining about the Mets.
Yeah, that's their shtick -- the whiny loser-holic fan. And I get that and can usually tolerate it; but I can't stand when they (and Tank) talk baseball in the dead of Winter when there's much more important shit occurring in the sports world.
This is the reason I have Sirius-XM now. NY sports talk is all baseball all the time all year round. I couldn't take it. It is one big zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Evan runs the show basically and all he cares about is the Mets and Nets. He doesnt like football. Their show is horrible for a football fan.
i absolutely agree and every other word out of beningo's mouth, "bro" - enuff...i stopped listening to them a while ago
I never listen to them anymore. It's amazing, really, I almost never listen to WFAN at all anymore except when the Devils are on, I never thought I'd see the day. New York in general is too much baseball for my tastes. I've told this story before, but when the Jets hosted the Bears in November 2006, my friends from Chicago came in to tailgate and go to the game. The whole ride down on Sunday morning we were waiting for the pregame and every call on both sports stations was all baseball. These guys were shocked. It's not like it was a nothing game, either, the Jets had just won in Foxborough and ended up in the playoffs, the Bears ended up in the Super Bowl. But let's talk about the Mets bullpen, they need a lefty. Give it a rest.
I'm a big Yankees fan, but I find nothing more mind numbingly boring than hot stove baseball talk. Lucas Duda chatter in December, who gives a shit? If you listen enough, they receive plenty of calls poking fun at their topic selections. I got back and forth with Evan on twitter a lot about it. Hell, Joe Niedermeyer is coming on in 15 minutes. WHO?
Yeah, I'm a big Dodger fan, and if there's a big signing or something, yes, by all means. But this endless moaning from Joe and Evan about the Mets--who themselves are currently in the Dominican and don't give a shit, it's just hard to listen to when the NFL season is at it's peak.
