Somewhat Jets related...Maybe Mason is done at this point.

The Texans have waived WR Derrick Mason.

This might just about do it for the rapidly declining veteran. Acquired from the Jets in early October, Mason made just six catches in seven games for the Texans, and only three after Week 6. He was a healthy scratch in Week 13. Mason has simply lost the ability to separate, and didn't show enough to stick in the slot. If he's played his final game, he'll end his sterling 15-year career with 943 catches (12th all time) for 12,061 yards (18th all time) in 230 games. Dec 12 - 3:25 PM

He managed to get waived right after Andre Johnson got hurt (again). The team must not really like what he's bringing to the table.

Kept an eye on that game a bit and he dropped an easy wide open pass from Yates on the run that would have been a first down. Didn't know who it was until the camera panned back at him.

He'll probably fester for a couple of weeks and get picked up by whatever team faces Houston in the wildcard round.
