Not good at all, our secondary is very thin in this position... Eric Smith all day is never good.

    Duh.

Unless you're bones aren't akin to Mister Fantastics of the Fantastic 4, you're injury prone.

Its the same leg he hurt last year. It will ALWAYS be an issue. Its not gonna go away, the slightest awkward fall will hurt it severely.

    Stop thinking your some doctor.

2 season ending injuries to the same leg, 2 years in a row. You want to re-sign him? How many Jets have had season ending injuries in back to back years recently?

I like him, but with a broken leg and now with what looks like a knee injury, time to move on. Sucks, but that's the game. He's not irreplaceable.

Exactly, we cant loose our top player caller 2 seasons in a row then resign him.

Dont get me wrong I love leonhard, smart and hard hitting but we need youth and health at safety

I'd like to see Leonhard come back. He's a gritty player who brings a lot of intangibles to the team.

it sucks, but if it was going to happen at least it is happening when the team is playing good football and they are likely very confident gong forward.

Was he still the one who called all of the defensive plays this season?

If it is his last game as a Jets player, then his last play was an INT

    its completely different

We lost him on a Thursday before a game and had 1 day of practice to teach Smith or Pool how to make all the reads.

We will have a full week to teach our safety all the calls. And BTW we beat Manning and Brady...

...adn stop thinking you are. A broken bonne last year and a ligament issue on this one are unrelated. your basily saying that if you broke a pinky one year and then a wrist a year later its becasue of the previous injury. Its not. This happened becasue of the way he twisted his knee that had nothign to due with the previous bone break.

I think we will be able to sign Leonhard for cheap. He's not as valuable to other teams as he is to us. If we get rid of Eric Smith and have Leonhard Poole and either a FA or draft a safety.
