Mark Sanchez has now either thrown or run for 26 TD's in the Jets 13 games this season. At this pace he will finish with 32 TD's participated in breaking the record Vinny Testaverde set in 1998 with his 29 passes and 2 runs.
I've been critical of Sanchez this season, and I need more than 1 good game to change my overall perspective but, as I said in the game thread, I'll give him Kudos for this game. Forget the score, forget the stats, What impressed me about Sanchez today was the following. He was quick to make his reads today which meant he was hitting receivers as they broke open instead of being late as he has most of the season. He was accurate with his passes today hitting recievers in stride allowing them to gain YAC. He was looking off the DB's and not locking onto his receiver for most of the game. Case in point the screen to LT that was set up by Sanchez looking the other way until the last moment when he swung the pass out for the big gain and was accurate with the pass leading LT so he had momentum. and he didn't make the bad decisions this game that's haunted most of his other performances. in short everything I've criticized Sanchez for this season he did well in this game and I'm man enough to say good job Sanchez when he has a game like this. We could have lost today and I still would have called this a good performance by Sanchez. keep it up and you'll get me back in your corner.
21 passing TD (26 total with the 5 rush) vs 11 INT 57% completion (my only gripe) On pace for more yards thrown and attempts than last year Lookin pretty solid. Should crack the top 15 in QB rating after this weeks games.
He sucks. Plain and simple. He will destroy this offense with near 30 TDs this season. What a fucking bust.
47 TD's, 27 INT's over his last 34 starts....(57 total TD's.) 2nd in the NFL in rushing TD's since he entered the league. Still hasn't thrown 2,000 pro/college passes. (clear indication, untapped potential remains) On the season, he has a 88 QB rating and 59% completion percentage, outside of the Baltimore game.
