Rex has said the offense will be announced again. Let's all show our support for Sanchez and make up for the boos during last games intros. If you want to boo him during the game then go ahead but let's get loud for him before. Remember he's only 25 and he has won 4 playoff games for us already including one of thebest wins in jet history beating new England in new England last year. Let's not forget those two championship games either. It wasn't his play that lost us those games. Let's show the guy some love because he's earned it.

Thank you for making that recommendation. Wish I could be at the game to cheer him on. Booing is absolutely the worst thing you can do to any team member, particularly before a game. All it accomplishes is put more pressure on a youngster and erode his confidence and focus. We need to demonstrate our support.
No game is ever won or lost solely by the actions of one person. There are plenty of opportunities for the rest of the team to shine and help a player when down.
    Go Mark, go Jets.

Hey, you throw soul-crushing pick sixes every week in the midst of a losing streak, you're going to hear boos. Fans are fickle and the team is winning, people won't be mean to him this time.

I'll be there and be loud (when KC is on O).

The problem is the Stadium is always half empty(unless prime time game where they start later they are supposed to) for intros so it can't be deafening.

The one at NE the game was virtually over by that point, the one at Den was bad but he didn't allow Tebow to go 95 yds. he didn't deserve to be booed against Buf.

I don't think the 95 yard drive happens if the defense isn't completely gassed from being on the field all night on a short week at high altitude. But I agree with you he didn't deserve to be booed against Buffalo. Schottenheimer did.

I agree with OP, it's crunch time and we have to show our support. Let's give our team a real home field advantage even though those PSLs have to stadium at less then capacity for all home games.

So did the Colts' fans boo Manning at the home opener in 2010 because of the soul crushing game clinching pick six he threw vs the Saints in the Super Bowl? Every QB throws pick sixes now and then.

ahhh the tired excuse, didn't the INt for a TD save our D a possession?

for the game the TOP was:

    NYJ 32:12
    Den 27:48

at the time Denver took the field on their own 5 yd line the TOp was:

    NYJ 31:14
    Den 22:54

The D choked b/c that is what they typically do in situations like that, it wasn't b/c they were tired.

    Stop confusing people with facts.

I'm going to miss this one, looks like I've been to my last game for the season.

so they were a suffocating machine all night, and then turned into a pumpkin in the last 5 minutes, because of what, magic? Because they suddenly became "unclutch"? Nonsense.

Our offense looked worse than Denver's all night, if that's possible. When your defense is dodging bullets all season, occasionally it takes one in the chest. The O needed to put up points against Denver (for us) and it couldn't.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not one to say our defense is dominating, it isn't and it is worse this year than 09-10. But our offense consistently gives it no margin of error.

Don't you know by now that it is always the QBs fault????? If Sanchez doesn't become the second coming of Brady or Manning or Rodgers, half of Jets fans will consider him a bust unless he throws for 300 yards and 3TDs in a Super Bowl win.

You can defend Mark Sanchez all you want (as I mostly do) but his INT clearly contributed in the loss to the Broncos BIG TIME. The defense blowing it was terrible, the offense being super conservative instead of trying to get a first down at the end was terrible too. The whole team blew a game they dominated.

As for boos, I don't get that. You pay all this money to go see your team you love and you boo them before they take a snap? Not cool. I can understand after an ugly 3 and out or an interception. Not during intros though.

He hasn't said a word about the fans. He has been a stand up guy all year and voluntarily shouldered more blame than he deserves. He has handled himself very well considering the ridiculous scrutiny he is under after every game. The only NFL player more analyzed than Sanchez is Tebow.

He is actually playing better this year than his prior two seasons and is progressing nicely. It is the team around him that has regressed. But some people can't see that even the QB needs his teammates to perform in order to be successful. What part of the Jets team this year is better than last year? The OL? No. The running game? No. The receivers? No. The defense against the run? No. The defense against the pass? No. Special Teams? No.

Yet Sanchez's numbers have improved across the board and he continues to lead the team to wins with 4th quarter drives when the Jets are behind.

Interception or not (and I'm not dismissing it), the Jets had a 3 point lead with 5 minutes left and Denver had 95 yards to go for the winning score and was playing a 1970s college offensive system with a QB who can't pass......and the defense let this team march right down the field and score. No way that should have happened.

If Sanchez throws a pick 6 and the Jets are trailing in the 4th quarter as a result in a low scoring game and the offense can't move the ball late in the game to re-take the lead, I put the blame squarely on the QB. But the Jets had that game won if the defense does its job on that last drive.

Excellent post that I don't disagree with a word of. I love Mark. I just don't get why everyone, especially his teammates and coaches, feels that its a great idea to make a big deal about whether or not the fans are mean to him. The dude is young, rich, talented and banging starlets three at a time at least, who gives a fuck how a bunch of knuckleheads from Bensonhurst and Bayonne treat him?

They change their approach on that last drive and this D is KNOWN for choking w/ the game on the line. In an almost impossible aspot for Buffalo they gave the Bills 2 great chances to win 2 weeks ago. If this D gets tired only playing 22 mins then they need to start running.

No doubt it contributed, if he doesn't throw it we probably don't lose BUT he did and we had Denver at their 5 yard line w/ 5 mins left. We dominated that O all night and they allowed no resistatance to Tebow for 95 yds. They couldn't even hold them to a FG to get the game to OT(or give our O a chance to kick a FG to win).

We lost that game b/c the D allowed an inept O to go 95 yds in the final 5 mins.

He's not playing better than last year, his #s are better but he hasn't been better. I don't blame him b/c of the new WRs and the OL and running game troubles but he hasn't been as good as a year ago.
