Kellen Clemens - QB - Texans

    https://twitter.com/#!/McClain_on_NFL/statuses/144157012794671104

    Texans waived QB Kellen Clemens.

The coaching staff now wants two grizzled veterans behind T.J. Yates after the rookie showed promise while meeting first-start expectations. The Texans will go with Jeff Garcia as the No. 3 QB behind Jake Delhomme.

I kind of feel bad for him. He was decent filling in for Pennington that one year, and now he can't even beat out Jake Delhomme and Jeff Garcia? Can he really be that bad?

Also, why haven't the Texans signed McNabb by now?

2006 was a seriously bad year to be drafting a QB (KC was the 4th QB taken that year)

Just noticed when looking back at this draft, we presently have four 1st round picks from the 2006 draft starting (Ferguson, Mangold, Cromartie and Holmes).

Apparently nobody likes him. They all think he's lazy, fat, and is no longer a good qb......can't see how he's worse than Garcia or Delhomme at this point though.

We did well taking Brick at #4. A lot of people wanted Cutler, not me.

His career is probably over now. I can't see anyone picking him up this year and certainly not next year. By next year there he will be another year older and there will be even more fresh blood in the NFL.

From 2006 to 2011 he was employed by some team and had a decent career as a backup. 5 years in the league for a sub-par to mediocre QB isn't bad.

Not sure he's wrong by much.
Cutler is better (though still not a particularly good QB)
How many of these are definitely better:
Young, Leinart, Whitehurst, Tarvaris, Croyle,Gradkowski, Brad Smith. those are the only ones left in the league.
2006 produced 1 mediocre QB, 6 career backups and a WR.
