Fans and NFL analysts keep insulting Sanchez week after week, but he is on pace to at least be in the running to make the Pro Bowl.

    Look at AFC QB Stats:

    http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/passing/sort/passingYards/league/afc

Big Ben Roethlisberger and Tom Brady are surely #1 and #2, but who is #3?

Looking at the statistics, it comes down to Sanchez, Flacco and Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick should be thrown out as his team is terrible now. Flacco has 200 more passing yards, 3 less INT's but 6 less TD's than Sanchez. So they are pretty even.

Odds are the Tim Tebow vote will be huge from the fans, but you can't just get in with fan votes. And he is terrible. Not Pro Bowl caliber at all.

So if Sanchez can play great these final 4 weeks, there is a great shot me makes it. Crazy right?

AP All-Pro 1st and 2nd teams are the true All-Star teams either way.

    +1

He will never see that either.

I could care a less if Sanchez makes it cause it would be the equivalent of all the people we bash and try to negate accolades for.

Furthermore if Peyton were healthy this thread probably wouldnt exist.

If I felt he was having hands down a pro bowl year maybe I would care.

not trying to sound like a dick cause it is something interesting to delve into on what seems to be a slow week here.

Yeah, no doubt many factors are playing into it including Manning and Shaub being out for the year.

At this moment when you break it down though, it would come down to Sanchez, Flacco and Tebow.

He will never make it because it is not based on stats.... It's based on votes, and he will not get enough votes from players or coaches, and definitely not from the fans. Everybody thinks he sucks. And based on his performance this year, everybody wouldn't too far off. I love the guy, but my god he's played pretty bad this year.

I usually dont agree with Colin Cowherd but ive heard him over the past few days talk about how Sanchez gets no credit while Tebow gets too much.

"theyre doing the same thing coming back late in games. except Sanchez is asked to do much more, more often."

Hopefully he won't be able to go if he gets in because he'll be preparing for a Superbowl.

I agree that he won't be an AP selection for the foreseeable future (4-5 years), but never? A 25 year old QB who has been improving each year can never become an All Pro?

I'm not saying he is a lock to get to that level. In fact, I tend to agree that Sanchez will most likely not achieve it. I just don't understand how these definitive statements can be made about a player after 16 collegiate and 43 professional starts.

I question Rex and Tanny's ability keep the OL depth at a good level (see this year) I question their priorities to get a quality WR who can take the top off a defense to pair opposite Holmes

Most importantly I think Sanchez is the kind of guy who will always flirt with unquestioned greatness yet never get the full endorsement until he gets a ring. Basically I just think there will always be 2-3 QB's undeniably better than him, thus taking him out of that running. and thats fine by me.

If i could sign up for Sanchez to be the 3rd-5th best qb in the league every year Id do it in a heartbeat. but I think thats his peak and he has a long way to go before he reaches that

    Garrrard isnt that bad man.

your in FL too youve seen how the Jags offense consisted of MJD and Garrard scrambling to throw to a bunch of nobodies right?

No way Sanchez gets in over Tebow, I would think.
