Dig is an embarrassment to coverage. He is great at rushing the passer but we don't need a big hitting safety after we committed to Eric Smith. He is their 4th string safety.
And you may very well be right but then my next point is, he played most of the game vs. the Jets, started and the Jets did squat.
I said most teams that throw for 300+ yds lose, what is wrong w/ that? There are only a few teams built to win w/ elite QBs throwing for 300+. what makes a QB elite is being able to cotnrol a game from start to finish, there are only a few guys that can. They would be elite in any system, Brees credits Brian w/ helping make him a great QB but people ignore that. It doesn't matter about stats, it matters about wins and mark is leading us to wins. Favre wa shere for a MONTH(less) before the season in a new system for the first time since 1991, he also didn't want to be here and didn't put all his efforts into knowing the playbook. Chad was coming off TWO shoulder surgeries when Brian got him and he helped lead us to a playoff spot. Sanchez had 16 starts in college and in 2 full years led us to 2 title games. Stop whining about the OC.
The fact that in recent years 60% of them won. 69.5% in 2009...Most means greater than 50%. So what's wrong with your statement is it's factually incorrect. As soon as you stop tongue kissing him.
This has become an urban legend among Schotty Haters. Sanchez should have thrown it to McKnight, who had a decent shot at a first down. End of story.
w/in that 60% are guys who win 75-80% of their games every year, take those elite few out and let me know what you find. Those guys are part of the FEW teams, most teams cannot win that way.
And that was all because of Dig give me a break. Our O looked like hot garbage. There were JAGs on the Pats D line looking Pro bowlers. You only think he is playing well because you watched 1 game he played against our inept offense?
He has a decent amount of tackles but if the Patriots had an average Safety to put out there then he would not be starting. Fucking Drew Coleman and Dwight Lowery are playing for the jaguars but neither would be starting on this team. Patriots defense is awful so its fitting that a situational player could find a starting job. Playing a little bit better from what they were does not mean that Dig has suddenly become a good safety.
Honestly, who gives a fuck about what passing yards he thinks he can get in a game...the entire goal is to score points, and he doesnt seem to know how to score any in the 1st quarter. Has he commented on this yet? I doubt he even wants to discuss it.
And that's a major problem that gets underscored. Sanchez game after game can't do a thing right till the middle of the 2nd quarter. That's a big deal.
I think it is because Schotty, no matter what, scripts his 1st 10-15 plays. If it's not working, you need to give it up and try improvising the offense based on whats actually happening on the field from the get go. He always seems to think the 1st qtr is for running his shitty script, and then "feeling out" the defense rather than attacking and exploiting.
Why would that be? Unless he is scripting sanchez throwing wild for his first 5-10 plays each game it's tough to blame him for that. We shouldn't be seeing Sanchez coming out and throwing in the dirt or over guys heads to start these games. The script is supposed to help eliminate that type of stuff.
Most do. Sean Peyton sure as shit does but he has Bree's. Not to mention scripting plays isn't as big a deal as you made it seem. Let's say they get 9 yards on the first play of the script. They are probably going off script on the second play because you can't anticipate the down and distance when those things are made up.
Peyton also has the ideal players to run the WCO. We lack most of the personell to run an efficient WCO. We should be running something totally different...but Schotty is a one trick pony.
