Ummm... who was forcing him to do that? I only watched the end of the game, so I really have no opinion, but that comment just seems bizarre.

I'm more interested if Pitt media shreds Roethlisberger for bad plays like the one mentioned.

As for Sanchez, he gets an incomplete pass from me.

That pretty much sums it up. Sanchez gets all the credit in the world for pulling it together in the second half and leading the game winning touchdown drive, but overall he had a shitty game. Nine times out of ten you can't win when your QB plays like Sanchez did today.

Excuse me. Forced to either throw into triple or double coverage or a. take a sack or b. throw it away every time.*
    Better for you?

The guy's got 2 rings, I doubt he got shredded for the rape allegations in the Pitt media.

I asked you a very simple question. By not answering directly, I thank you for answering.

Every single one of your posts is bashing of Sanchez. I can understand criticism and discussion, but your M.O. is to crucify the guy in every thread. Judging by your join date I'm going to say that you're a Pats fan.

All I'm saying is that it is impossible for a defense to double-cover every receiver. If a QB is constantly throwing into those coverages, it is usually a reflection upon that QB, not the circumstances he is "subjected" to.

Basically, if Sanchez was constantly throwing into double and triple coverage today, one of the following situations applies:

    a) The single-covered receivers were blanketed so well that this was actually the better option

    b) Pressure was gettting to Sanchez before he had a reasonable amount of time to identify coverages (this seems to be your opinion based on the quoted post, but everything else I have read indicates that protection was NOT a problem today)

    c) Sanchez did a poor job of reading the defense's coverage schemes

I missed most of the game, so I am not about to pass judgement on his performance today. I simply don't agree with your justification.

3 receiver set, Bills dropping 7 or 8 into coverage, I'd say that makes it possible that 3 receivers were double covered with someone on who ever the check down was. The balls into double coverage were actually good ones too that were barely broken up. So please, keep trying to tell me how the game was played when you watched a quarter of it.

Sanchez did have a bad day. He made some bad decisions too. There were drops and miscommunication with receivers.

However he did make some nice reads and good throws at the end.

Kudos to plaxico for the sideline catch (made up for the drop earlier) and Kellers nice grab.

I realize that Schotty isn't exactly the greatest mind in football, but if that situation you describe seriously represents nearly half of the Jets' passing plays, then excuse me... you have both my apologies and my sympathy.

Thank you then, the fact that he had to throw that many times was pathetic. The run/pass ratio should've been flipped, as you know the Bills still suck dick against the run, and we aren't the Patriots on offense.

well not all teams are blessed with 3 gigantic tight ends with athletic ability to bolster their receiving corp.

Mark makes due with much less than what Brady has.

Stevie Johnson is the MVP for the Jets in this game.

He set up the tying TD with his classless antics in the first half, and missed two certain TD receptions at the end. He also short armed the last throw, but I think it may not have been catchable.

Sanchez deserves credit for the last pass he threw rolling right, which is really the only time he looks really good.

Plax saved his ass with a tremendous catch just before that.

Surprisingly good job of getting throws into tight coverage today. A few should have been picks but there were also enough that should have been caught by the Jets' receivers.

Plex saved his ass on that last TD drive on 3rd & 11. Horrible throw. Sorry guys, I don't think we're winning the big one with this clown. Unless we get like the 85 bears D or something.

How about when your defense can't get off the field on 3rd down or your punt returner fumbles punts? Or, how about your all world CB getting owned by a 7th round wr? Sanchez was far from great, but there is plenty of blame to go around.

Well I think you mean the 85 Bears.. since the 86 Bears ya know.. lost and all.

And that throw to Plax was not horrible. It was pretty much right where it needed to be.. just a little too far to the outside. If he throws it too far inside or down the field it's an interception or incomplete and everyone is crying. He put it where he knew his 6'5" receiver could make a play and he did.

fair point on the year:) still disagree on the throw. it was meant to be high, but was too far behind him too.
