Why all hate for tebow. Yeah he sucks as qb, but his team is winning. Isn't that's what its all about. Or that's what sanchez supporters say anyway.
ball game. and now guess what, tebow is about to get praised for his awesome qb running skillz for another week
he is winning, without making any throws at all. he is winning by running the ball. Same thing about the wildcat a couple years back. it won Miami games for about 8 weeks, and then it got figured out and dissapeared because it won't work long term in the NFL. You need a guy who can throw the football. But again, I never thought it was possible for a team to win 4 straight games without scoring 20 points. Yet somehow the broncos have done just that.
As I noted earlier, the defense has had a hell of a lot more to do with this streak than the quarterback. Today you can add the offensive line, which was giving him at least 5 seconds on play after play.
absolutely. thats what I meant. His defense is preventing their opponents from scoring, while the guys around him are making big time plays when they have too. two weeks ago it was a PR, against us it was the INT return, today it was the mcgahee run. but dagnabit the son of a bitch seems to make the drive when he has to have it. What I have noticed is they basically abandon what they have been doing all game long when the final drive comes around, and change it up. but if they are winning, who am i to complain? in a year, the option BS won't work anymore and neither will the QB draw. But until then the Tebow train rides on
Playing through the back to make a play on the ball obviously requires that the opponent is between the ball and the player. That was not the case here.
I agree. I have serious doubts about Tebow's passing skills, but I don't understand all the Tebow hate from the ESPN crowd. hmy:
I love how pissed off Harrison gets whenever Dan Patrick and Tony Dungy make fun of him for thinking the Eagles were going to be great this year.
Wasting a timeout in the second half in the hope of drawing the opponent offside seems like a pretty stupid move to me. Either kick the FG if you're going to, or take the 5 yard delay of game penalty to give your punter more room.
They should've just gone for it, but Arians is very conservative and rarely goes for it on 4th down, which is why their trying to draw the defense offsides is not very effective. 4th and less than 5 at the opponent's 35-45 is a go for it scenario.
