This game shows why Sanchez Divides the fans so much. Another pick, and some terrible decisions that could have lead to more picks. Then some good throws and a nice play to get us in front. Its so infuriating. Pass rush is still so bad, but have to say i was impressed with Fitzpatricks accuracy, the throws they needed to play on Revis had to be on the money all the time.
Hard to know where to begin - it was the worst winning performance I can remember seeing by the jets. Sanchez still plays like a nervous rookie and make awful decisions; the WR played badly and never seemed to get any kind of seperation - major changes are needed in the offseason; greene did ok but you could tell he is not 100%; the D was mostly OK but its clear that we have almost no pass rush to speak of; Cromartie was appalling and safety play is still very poor. Basically its the same thing as the rest of the season - major changes needed at DE/OLB; WR and S and its still a case of god knows what we have with Sanchez.
Watching this game was like getting a root canal. Luckily I had some natty ice to help me through it.
Lucky win! If Johnson had held that ball we would have been finished. Why does Sanchez throw into double/triple coverage repeatedly? I am losing more and more faith in him every week. God help us when we play a half decent team.
The problem is that we have been saying we have a lot to improve for weeks now and it still hasn't happened.
who do you think we are? I was expecting losing 8 in a row after NE game. Thats what SOJ would do. Its a great WIN! we now need 5 more.
That one was rough. Again stupid mistakes make it much closer than it should be, but at least this time it's a win. Something tells me we would have lost in OT so thank goodness we got that Holmes TD.
Thats the thing, you just cannot really telll what you have with him - he makes plays that make you think he could be good with a more tailored system but then he makes such stupid decisions and makes such bad throws you feel like they need to just rip up the sanchez experiment and start over. i really hope they bring in a decent vet next season though to give sanchez some competition as he knows there is nothing behind him, giving brunell a couple of reps is not fooling anyone.
They could take a lesson from my cat. The little bastard took the most rancid smelling shit right before that 4th down play to end the game. Stunk up the whole basement. I watched that last play in tears.
Cro had one bad play, the fumble on the punt return. You're not seriously blaming him for the Smith TD, are you? And are you forgetting that with seconds left he executed a perfect defensive move to knock the ball out of Smith's hands and prevented a game winning TD?
While I agree about the stupid decision making, they are the end result of a horrible offensive system that too often basically gets no one open. Combine that with some piss poor blocking and horrendous playcalling and our offense is unbearable.. Watching multiple games every Sunday you see receivers all over the place - look at the Bills against us - but we continue to run this shit that puts 2 receivers out there against 4 and 5 defenders. It is more what can Sanchez do with a better OC than what he can do with a better back up.
Jets win but defense, offense & special teams all made mistakes. - Sanchez vision is looking really bad & too many passes into double+ coverage. Think he got lucky that there was only one int. - Wtf was Cro even back there for the kick? I totally understand Cro is fast but the Jets didn't need a big return @ that point, it was more important to just secure the ball. Would prefer to see Leonard on all punts unless Jets are behind & time is running out. Just secure the ball. - Stopped the offense on the last drive but the Bills blew some opportunities. Smith dropped a pass that seemed like a TD & the play where Poole was staring @ Revis in the endzone. Safety is the position I wanna see upgraded the most next season. Don't care if it's both or just one of them. == Jets won, so they're still in the playoff hunt. Bengals are gonna fall apart, so Broncos are the only team I'm seeing the Jets compete w/ for that last playoff spot.
