Line combos are stupid, Prust-Boyle-Feds should be the 4th line, most of the night he had Richards with nobody....
This. My biggest problem with Torts is how often he changes the lines, if a line is working really well together he'll keep it until they have one bad period and then he changes everything. Its fuckin infuriating. Need to get back on track with a big game against Washington. I got used to us winning I knew I shouldnt have.
I think Stralman can help us on the PP...by the way they let the other team have the puck all game they don't forecheck enough it's frustrating, you can't win when you don't have the puck...
Stop messing with the god damn lines: Stepan-Richards-Gaborik (Richards needs to play with finishers) Calli-Dubi-Avery (this line if left alone would be awesome) MZA-Christensen-Anisimov (send Deveaux down) Feds-Boyle-Prust (leave them alone on the 4th line but give them a regular shift)
Hagelin and Mitchell called up. http://www.snyrangersblog.com/2011/11/24/news-carl-hagelin-and-john-mitchell-called-up/ Very happy to see Hagelin get called up. Obviously one of these guys will replace Deveaux, hopefully the other is to replace the worst player in the history of hockey, Eric Christensen. Although with this team's inability to create offense, MZA deserved a shot over Mitchell.
oh shit we have a 1 o'clock game today, 1 for me at least, almost fucked up, would have missed it if i wasn;t flipping around on the remote. Take that Russian Bear down and skin him alive at mid ice!!
and that they did!! great job boys, start another streak. Did you know Girardi is averaging over 27 minutes of ice time a game at this point, that's a pretty big number. The power play wasn't good in the first period, the Rangers may have very well put 10 goals up on the Caps today, improve the power play some more, give Anisimov some more ice time, he is going to be a very good player when all is said and done, and try and stay tuned up in general although that won't be easy with this outlandish scheduling they've got, it's really ridiculous.
Hagelin looked good. He gives us some much needed speed on the forecheck for when we play trapping teams. The whole team was a half step quicker today. It's funny how the more they play, the fresher they look. Hopefully that trend continues with the busy schedule we have here for a while.
So did Mitchel, both talented and fast, energized the 4th line, which carried the play to the Craps all afternoon. Can't say enough about 2 players. that stand out every game, especially yesterday, Captain Calli and Dan Girardi. When the Craps made it 3-2 Ovechkin was running everybody on the ice, until Del zotto smashed him behind the net and he turned back in to a pumpkin...Hank played great in the 1st period, even though I thought he gave up 2 bad goals, definitely the best game they have played thus far...LGR!!! Now kick the Flamers ass today!
Brad Richards has not disappointed, two huge day wins in a row over two powerhouses. Way to go boys. HENRIK IS GOD.
Rangers are tied with the Sharks for least regulation time losses with 5. Granted they have 2 to 3 games in hand on most of the rest of the league, but I like what I'm seein'.
I see what youre trying to get at but you cant make lines with Dubi as second line center and be taken serious. The man is a gigantic disappointment.
