AMC's The Walking Dead

In carl's defense, he's one of the best characters in the comics

 

I haven't been posting in the thread mostly because I was out of town a while and I got a few episodes behind on the DVR. I look in here tonight, and I got surprised by the negativity. Guys, AMC isn't trying to narrow the appeal of their #1 series to males frm 18-30, they have to try to bring in the larger audience. That, of course, means women. And women just don't find an hour of shooting zombies in the head quite as entertaining as us; though I have no fucking clue why not, but there it is.

Why am I explaining this, anyway. You would have to be a totalmoron to not realize why they are doing it this way. They know they have the core audience wrapped up, the way to make more money for the network is to get as many viewers as possible, you know that. So why bitch about it, enjoy it for what it is and don't bother thinking its ever going to change.

 

Does anyone else feel as though the blonde turned hot overnight?

I disagree. My wife loved the first season and she hates blood and gore. She thought the first season had plenty of character development and plot line to keep her thorougly interested, despite the violence. We both agree that season 2 sucks donkey balls.

 

I was thinking exactly the same thing.

 

I liked the sister... then of course she gets bitten.

 

This show honestly has gone in a downward spiral since the pilot. Its almost ironic that this season mirrors the frustration that the jets give us on a weekly basis

Anyways, this has been a very inconsistent season.

 

this happens very very early in on in the comics so they are already way past the moment.

i agree about this second season being slow though - i have it on series record and i watched an episode the other night (the one where daryl gets thrown off the horse) and it wasnt until right near the end I realised I had actually missed the whole of the previous episode.

 

Redemption for the entire second season. Excellent episode from start to finish.

That was a fantastic episode...Wish they get more zombies in the show and they delivered tonight.

Now we wait until february
