I agree. And FWIW how about expanding the role of Baker as the HBack..Or If Kerley cannot make it back, just stick McKnight out there. Using Baker more would alleviate the need to have Meathead Mulligan out there, and provides far more of an unknown.
Aside from Nelson getting cut...Utilizing the HBack would be a giant leap forward to the modern NFL passing game. Hopefully this week gives Baker some more snaps. Granted he only had the 1 catch against Buffalo, but he saw some snaps and looked pretty good. If Schotty likes motions so much do it off the HBack.
Fred Jackson OUT is good, but the Jets held him in check in Buffalo 3 weeks ago. In a must win home game, against a team you dominated on the road, the Jets better show up.
No Fred Jackson is huge, I don't see how they can put up many points on us. Hopefuly Greene is ready to run hard this week, because I have to imagine we'll be running the ball quite a bit against the Bills this week. I'm pretty confident we should handle the Bills fairly easily this week. Then again I thought we'd handle the Broncos fairly easily, but playing in Denver during a short week against a good defense is quite a bit harder than the Bills at home with no Fred Jackson.
This is a big loss for the Bills. He has been the driving force for their offense all year long. Combine that with the loss of Donald Jones and the offense is down two key players with another one (Stevie Johnson) hurt.
Jets will probably pull out this win, and basically keep winning enough to barely miss the playoffs and cost us a good draft pick.
This reminds me of the board in 2008. Everyone arguing over internal team issues instead of discussing the next opponent.
...becasue they were collapsing with him in there. Its more of a continuation of the collapse than anything.
Sucks to see FJ out for the year, but he wasn't going to be here long-term anyway. This may be a blessing in disguise. Time for Spiller to get his chance, he has shown progress in the few snaps per game he has got this year. I'm excited to see what he can do as the feature back.
Not really. Holmes has always been more of a run aftert the catch receiver ala Jerry Rice (Not sayin he's as good). Plax has always been the jump ball type and 20 yard outs guy. They ought to find out of Kerley can get behind the D.
